Sometimes I forget just how good Harryhausen was. The camera can come within inches of those animated puppets and they still look excellent. And the animation itself is phenomenal.

I have never seen this film but the stop motion remains impressive and I find the movements of the animals rather fluid and 1 scene that I like is the fight between the triceratops and the ceratosaurus because already in the films of dinosaurs it's rare when the herbivore prefers to fight than flee the predator, it's rare but what's more when it's the herbivore who wins the fight it's even more so. And plus the ceratosaurus is much better forward than in jurassic park 3

All the deaths of dinosaurs and prehistoric creatures in One Million Years B.C.: 4:40 ALLOSAURUS - Stabbed by a large pole by Tumak, and lifted it from the ground and fell with the big pole stabbed in its chest, while screaming in pain as it struggles to get up again, this gave Tumak the opportunity to kill it by impaling it with a spear. 7:23 CERATOSAURUS - Fatally gored, and bleeds to death by the Triceratops. 10:03 and 10:12 PTERANODON - Killed in a fight with Rhamphorhynchus, chicks devoured by Rhamphorhynchus.

Amazing Harryhausen movie video! The dinosaurs and prehistoric animals look amazing. And Harryhausen's pterosaurs' wings are bat-like, may be inaccurate, but that is SO COOL! I founded a reason why Pteranodon and Rhamphorhynchus were depicted with their wings possessing a bat-like membrane, its because Ray Harryhausen stated that his pterosaur models weren’t made for professors who don’t go to see those kinds of movies anyway… Speaking of cool, I also find the pterosaur designs from Jurassic Park Franchise, Land Before Time, Ice Age, Walking With Series, Prehistoric Planet, and Life On Our Planet cool as well! But, I don’t wanna get off-topic here. My favorite animals in this film here are Brontosaurus, Archelon, Allosaurus, Triceratops, Ceratosaurus, Pteranodon, and Rhamphorhynchus! Though all of them are so great, at least all the dinosaurs and prehistoric animals seen in the film are well-known. I will remember these dinosaurs and prehistoric creatures' contribution to Harryhausen's legacy! MWAHAHAHA!

Why is it that no one has done a remake of Ray Harryhausen's movies ? Because his work was so good that nobody dares to touch those movies. Disney did a remake of Mighty Joe Young with Bill Paxton and Charlize Theron in the early 2000's, but no one else has done another remake of Ray Harryhausen's special effects movies. I'd like to see a remake of The Valley of Gwangi
