One min One throw with Yoyofactory's Protostar!

I saw this video the first time 13 years ago, and have always loved it. Besides showing it to quite a few people over the years, I have watched it myself probably more than 100 times. I really dig it and it inspires me to this day. Guess I relate to it in more than one way- at 71 years old, I still have a “black light” in my living room. Sadly, being talentless at throwing, I am still not as good as this cat, but I still have a ton of fun trying. I have been trying for 17 years and probably should have given up by now, but as long as I can still entertain myself with the handful of beginner tricks I have mastered, I will just keep plugging along as it were. Hope you don’t mind me posting this video on my FB timeline. I am sure after all these years it has inspired many up and comers besides myself. Best wishes buddy!

actually, I notice that the center-tracks mess up my k-pads (making my yoyo very unresponsive, but if u change the string often, it might help alot.

I love the string, What kind of string is it? Also, I'm planning on either grabbing a Protostar or a Dingo soon, and the Protostar looks absolutely amazing, I'm leaning toward it, at the moment. The only thing I didn't like about the music is the SOAD, but that's a taste thing, I can always mute that and play my own stuff. =) Great video man.

@universalizzy oh, its good, the bearing comes dry, no need to wash it. but make sure u know how to do a Bind, if not, it is hard to start off with a ProtoStar

Yup. The string is the coolest part of most single A tricks, but it's easy for the layperson to concentrate on the yo-yo the whole time. It's called yo-yoing after all, not string bouncing. The string here makes that nigh impossible. I think people also can't imagine what hundreds of hours of muscle memory and conditioning look like. If only they could stare at their own hands while they played their favorite video game.

your bearing got slower at 1 min right? and so you maneuvered the tricks more slow to get a perfect bind. :)
