ONE MINUTE CHOCOLATE FROSTING RECIPE
Ingredients
2 Tbsp / 30g Butter
1 Cup / 125g Powdered Sugar / Icing Sugar
2 Tbsp / 12g Cocoa Powder
1/2 tsp Salt
1-2 Tbsp Hot Water
Instructions
Bring some water to the boil in kettle or in a small saucepan over high heat. Once it is boiling set aside.
In a medium sized mixing bowl add the butter, powdered sugar, cocoa powder and salt.
Pour over the hot water and use a whisk to combine the ingredients together until whipped and smooth.
Add more water if needed for a thinner consistency.
Notes
Use the Chocolate Frosting immediately as it will start to thicken as it sits.
More hot water can be added to thin out the consistency if it has set.
The recipe can easily be doubled or tripped to make a larger amount.

So easy and fast! My 5 year old daughter & I were making a brownie recipe with a fudge topping and ran out of steam partway through so this was a perfect substitute for the more complicated fudge topping in the other recipe and still allowed us to finish. Saved the day!

I just made this recipe with my mom for mothers day, one thing to add though is if your more sensitive to salt I would skip the salt and stick to everything else. We made it with salt and I found it was very salty even if my mom didnt notice. We made it again without salt and both found it tastes way better! ☺️❤️

Delicious frosting. I didn't add salt because I used salted butter. Also, I added an extra Tbl. Of cocoa ( per batch) for an extra chocolatey taste 😋 I made two batches to cover a 9"x13" homemade yellow cake.

I didn’t have a lot of confectioner’s sugar but I put what I had and a couple of tablespoons of softened butter 🧈 and two heaping tablespoons of cocoa and a little water and VOILA! I made enough delicious chocolate icing for my Bundt Cake 🍰 and it turned out great! Thank you so much !

I have not tried it yet but have put all the ingredients together and am waiting for the butter to get soft. I made brownies from scratch and they did not come out chocolatey enough so this looks like a good quick fix. Gotta wait for the butter to get soft. This was a fast and easy recipe and made just the right amount for an 8X8 pan of brownies. The only thing that I would change is to cut the salt in half or omit it altogether (especially if using salted butter) because it was a bit too salty!

I wasnt confident at first but today i made chocolate icing/frosting for the first time, just using cocoa powder, icing suger and butter/margerine, it was soooo good. I dnt have a beater, I used that whisk you can push up and down and it worked like a miracle! I didnt even add salt or vanilla. I tell you it tasted very high quality, like from a luxury cake shop! Im never buying frosted chocolate cake again, im makin my own . Lol xD ps i like chocoate a lot so i added extra cocoa powder, and be careful using butter, too much butter can ruin it. :/

Gentle reminder, if u increase the quantity, do not increase the salt blindly, i used x2 the quantity and x2 the salt and it was really salty Tried the normal recipe and it was delicious
