I am the exact same way, so you’re not alone. I need that time to pamper myself and clear my head so creativity isn’t jammed in my brain and can flow. When I get stressed, my brain kind of shuts down, so I would just be sitting there, not able to work, and stressing more. I totally get it.

I love watching your video process regardless if it's a long or short. Super excited about that digital notebook. It sounds like something I need in my life.

Figuring out what works best for you and then using that knowledge is smart. (I should really learn from your example.)

Kara, you should never feel that you are letting us down by taking care of yourself. No explanations are needed, either. Only you know what works best for you during certain times of life. Just do you!! Good luck with everything! Sending good vibes your way.

Try putting the footage into iMovie on your phone and then transfer it as an iMovie to your computer to finish editing. I had some footage do that to me for a while. Hope that helps!!

This video makes me think that the 'grind culture' is probably (at least almost) international. It's like a *_lot_* of people think that you have to work yerself up to burn out point, and even then, yev got to push through with 'work' because otherwise it's like yer slacking. Which definitely far from productive and furthermore healthy. Especially if the work is within the creative field. Taking break once in a while especially when you can feel that yer closing in to that burn out point is productive, people! Working through it, on the contrary, is counter-productive. Less work done, yet more hours are used. So take a break! And perhaps eat that chocolate candy bar -- just break it off instead of biting a chunk of the whole block like a barbarian. :p

Question, how do you film these videos?

Wait you finish incowrimo every year? In all the years I have watched I never thought you finished them. Heck when I started watch at the beginning of the month, I was like no! Don’t do it, you have too much on your plate. You always have to much on your plate.

Haha weird coincidence, I just posted a video about taking a break and not trying to work through the frustration. Sorry to hear about your footage. I get so discouraged when I lose footage or it doesn't look right.

curiosity question for you: have you considered thought about and tried Ryder Carroll's ideas for projects and the layouts for breaking them down to avoid some of the anxiety of projects like the ones on your plate at this time? I am concerned for you and will keep you in prayer as you go through times like this. Remember to breathe.

@@knittinghands23 I never said you did. I'm saying that I think she's already implementing some of those techniques/ideas but on her iPad. For example, she has a digital notebook for her Appalachian Trail, where she does all the planning for that project. She's also shared notebooks for her other projects.
