Thanks for giving info on these! It's nice to see that there's another dance pad option on the market! For the longest time it was either DDRGame (very few of them too) or Precision Dance Pads. Every other manufacturer is too pricey, closed up shop or got stuck in development. Which is really too bad because there are a lot of dance game players, especially since the resurgence of DDR and arcades like Round1. But the prices for there aren't too shabby (even with shipping it's among the lowest-priced for metal ones) and sound quite usable for higher levels. For your endurance, I bet part of it is due to technique. Try to minimize as much movement and effort as possible. Examples are relaxing legs/feet like you would walking normally, keeping your feet close to the ground instead of lifting high, using your heels to hit panels, hitting the side of the panel closest to the center, "stepping" instead of "stomping", not really "jumping" for jumps, etc... Those sorts of things. It's difficult to get the hang of it at first because of the speed of the game being pretty frantic and essentially needing to relearn your moves. So you may have to drop down a few levels as you focus on the movements. But speaking for myself, when I worked on that and got the hang of it, improvement came fast and so did more fun, lol!
@danielbelfort50884 жыл бұрын
If you mind the screws you can use some sanding paper to roughen them up, get a can of plastidip and dunk the heads in them, wait a day and screw them in. After they're screwed in you can even fill up the grooves on the screws with plastidip so it looks as if the panels are bolted in. Stepping on screws coated in rubber actually hurts a little less.

I just recently got the ex pro 2, and does it suck. It gets pad misses like crazy (3-4) per song, and has deadzones on each panel which makes it impossible to do bracketing. I asked support about it, and they told me there may be some debris between the sensor, so I was told to spray some computer duster between all sensors, and clean the top with rubbing alcohol, but it didn't help at all. In the process of trying to get a return, which they seem very hesitant to give, and if I get it done I'll opt for a stepmaniax pad.
@iamdadbod2 жыл бұрын
That does seem very unlike those pads. I still almost never have issues. I have had to carefully take the tiles off and clean the sensors. It's really easy to do. If you hit me up on discord I can walk you through it if you want sometime.
@Darknight0681 Жыл бұрын
The pad actually works exactly like it should out of the box for entry level to intermediate players. If you plan to bracket in any form I highly suggest the copper shim mod on the inside edge of the panel metal contacts. It's a total game changer and you'll totally have your brackets about as good as you can ask for outside of an FSR mod. I've gotten MFCs with it once modded, so it CAN get the job done. You just have to play with it some and get the right feel for it.

My son received his dance pad in June and has been using it pretty solidly since.He's now noticing that the sensors (possibly only one of the sensors) are starting to register double-taps or not at all when he hits them. I removed one of the acrylic panels with the idea of testing some mods - is the sensitivity off? Is the "diamond" material getting flattened? Should I add something? Any thoughts? I bought a deluxe pad for 50 or so then bought two soft pads so far after about a 10 year break from ddr. Ended up thinking that I would wear out the deluxe pad so bought the soft pads and modded one. Basically I cut out some pads from this foam material board from Walmart. I then placed the pads on the bottom of the plywood with duct tape basically lifted the pad up and placed the pads. Second part was stapling the pad around the outside of the material not the pad itself and finally covered the pad with clear vinyl that I stapled to the side of the plywood and duct tape everything and it’s a great way to save a lot of money don’t get me wrong it’s not as if I wouldn’t want to buy a polish pad however for me this is perfect and basically disposable. It’s better than my deluxe pad because like jumping rope the firm support of the plywood and pad with the vinyl with the foam buttons makes for an bastard arcade feel. Warning about the ps2 deluxe pad on amazon the foam insert is super squishy but I had a inset from a old deluxe pad witch is way stiffer so figure out a way to get some high density foam and that pad is great.
