Thank you so much for showing the threading process! As a new floor loom weaver, this is the scariest part of starting to me. I had the heddles of all the shafts spaced out like multiple heddles on a rigid heddle 😅 and couldn't see the tree for the forest.

@@curmudgeon66 OH! It's call AQUARIUM - like water in a fish tank. Dark blue. :) I have several looms - but are used for delicate things. This finnish one is a BEAST. I most certainly will let you know :) She is unique, that's for sure.

"Empire of the Scalpel: The History of Surgery" I bought it on Amazon and listen to it in the Audible (from Amazon) app. Another similar book, which I found very interesting was: "The Butchering Art: Joseph Lister's Quest to Transform the Grisly World of Victorian Medicine". I am a bit confused. You told us this was a 12 epi sett, and that the threading you had just done ended with shaft 4. You then pulled out 3 heddles, explaining that they would be threaded 3-2-1. Why does that group contain 3 threads, rather than 4? At 5:28, you said you were working with sets of four, and the next 4 heddles were threaded-3-2-1. BTW: I am a fan. I think I've viewed all of your weaving videos.

My threading was: 1-2-3-4-1-2-3-4-1-2-3-4 First part of a point twill then 3-2-1-4-3-2-1-4-3-2-1-4 Second part of a point twill then repeat the 1-2-3-4 etc. Just to make it easier for me to keep in my head as I am threading heddles I did 1-2-3-4 1-2-3-4 1-2-3-4 and then 3-2-1- 4-3-2-1 4-3-2-1 4-3-2 and then repeat beginning at 1-2-3-4, So yes - that is not exactly groups of 4, but when doing point twill on four shafts one does not want to repeat the same thread which is what would have happend in a bunch of full sets of four, as follows 1-2-3-4 1-2-3-4 1-2-3-4 and then 4-3-2-1 4-3-2-1 4-3-2-1 This would have given me two threads on heddle #4 next to each other and then two threads on shaft (heddle) 1. Hope this makes sense, if not let me know and I will try to explain it again.

Meant to ask last time - What is your epi on your reed with that larger yarn for that nice drape you get? I'm not used to the larger stuff and would like to have a number to start with for my first test of this new loom.
