We make nearly 2 billion tires every year, while old ones continue to pile up. They can act as breeding grounds for mosquitoes and cause hard-to-put-out fires. Some countries recycle a majority of them, and one Nigerian entrepreneur is aiming to get hers to do the same.

Awesome. Many, many places around the world should do this.

We really need this in Texas. Everyone's got a mountain of tires in their yard because we have to pay them to dispose of it.

Thank you for accepting education without attempting to cheat in your final faculty examination. See how your enterprise salutes global climate change. An undeniable innovation. Thank you for life.

You are awesome. Other women must feel proud to see such a sister. Would you consider putting Jamaica on your expansion list if possible? I think there are business people especially women like you including those living in the diaspores like myself who would take great interest.

Whilst I commend the recycling process, I condem the fact that the staff are NOT wearing sufficient Health and Safety apparatus, Masks are inadequate for Particulate/Vapour Inhalation or arm coverings for fine materials. Plus, whilst everybody may herald the idea that these will make great street bricks, they fail to realise two things, the ( Bricks ) will INCREASE temperatures creating greater drought scenario's and release Toxic Vapours over time in those areas!!!! Insufficient studys leave massive concerns over long health risks to everyone, from lung diseases to fertility problems etc etc. There needs to be an undertaking of full medical assessment to these potentially lethal factors in determining if these Recycling processes are in fact Dangerous, as for the Entrepreneur, well she's/he's gonna have more interest in MAKING MONEY NOT BRICKS, PERHAPS AS GOLD, UH HUH, 🤔😏🧑‍🎓👩‍🎓💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰

All of old tyres should be recycled into new tyres, a 100% recycling rate is what we need. These are good temporary solutions though.

What is the cost of producing these pavers, does it cost less than the concrete pavers?

The question you are not asking. Why are tires not made to last longer? A well made tire can last over 100,000 miles. Greed, greed, greed.

Is there any companies like this in the US? Can these pavers be purchased in the US?

The chemicals used in tires cannot be used in building materials. It's not safe for children in playgrounds. It is definitely not safe as a building material due to the high fire burn time of the tire, plus the toxic smoke. They need to put more thought into the final home of this product and keep safety of the consumer in mind. For now I am not impressed they already have not thought of this.

This recycling should be closed down immediately. The amount of microplastics/particles emitting from this product makes it hazardous to humans, especially children. The recycling industry has known that very well since the last years. Unfortunately, India does not care about negative inputs to the environment when they start a business.

@@commoncentsamericanThis is a far better idea than exposing people in their streets and homes to larger vapours prior to studies of long term health effects,😊

Ha that factory would never pass a OSHA inspection. Rags on faces not given masks. Life is very cheap I see in Nigeria. This would not be possible without cheap labor.

One Nigerian entrepreneur... you wish! Maybe your Nigerian prince stole it from Western countries, where this technology has been in use since the 1960s.
