The problem in this game is that Tyler and Katie yap FAR too much. They were even yapping when they were asleep! Although it worked out for Tyler in this game, whether deliberately or not, as he was killing time by yapping, the constant yapping pretty much condemned Katie to the gallows. If rather than yapping (and then pretty much surrendering by calling out the tanner) she had spent more time thinking and concentrating on trying to get Sydney to say which card she drunked, she could then out herself as the a-wolf, say who she wolfed, and say she saw the card Sydney had and it was the regular wolf (even if she knew she had picked the tanner). She could then call a wolf majority and get everyone to kill a villager - it wouldnt matter to her if Sydney was actually a wolf or not. We had a similar situation in a game a couple of months ago. In play was the a-wolf, wolf, copycat, robber, villager and drunk, with the tanner, seer and insomniac in the middle along with a regular wolf as the wolf card. I was playing CC and deliberately wolfed myself (I had chosen this mix of cards deliberately to try and do this). The drunk outed himself right off the bat, then the robber confirmed he was drunk by confessing to robbing him. That was enough for me to confidently claim a win, I suppose the other 2 wolves could have but they both still were looking confused how 3 wolves woke up when there was no doppelganger and the copycat could not copy a player so should not be a wolf..... Anyway when the robber made his call I responded 'well congratulations you have robbed yourself to an early grave' and he started to look confused.... then I outed myself as a wolf and pointed to the other 2 wolves, telling them one of them was the a-wolf and if they told us who they wolfed we would have a wolf majority, he had wolfed the villager, the remaining villagers tried to argue there was a tanner in play, to which the response was the tanner is irrelevant as we know the robber is a drunk, if the silent player (villager) was a tanner he wasnt any more as he was wolfed by the a-wolf, and if the original drunk tannered himself no-one cares as we should vote for the robber/drunk. WE just stopped the app with three minutes still unused on the clock for the easiest wolf win ever. Amazingly, no-one, wolf or villager, ever lied or indeed needed to lie about their role! (On a negative point, I was also outed for deliberately salting the mix of cards to pull off this exact ploy, and we have never allowed the a-wolf and copycat in the same game again)

What are your thoughts on the ONUW bonus rules set? It comes with Prince, Cursed, apprentice Seer and some others!

Hmm. I never opened the bonus roles box because I already had those characters. Are the rules different? I'll have to check it out

They are playing with the ultimate collection, which comes complete with the characters in the bonus pack. The bonus pack comes with the AURA seer not the apprentice seer, they are different roles, the apprentice seer (which comes from Daybreak) can look at one centre card, the aura seer (from the bonus pack) wakes up and everyone who has already moved or looked at a card thumbs them (but some roles look/move AFTER the auraseer so she dosnt see them, drunk is a good example)

Nooo everyone forgot Sydney was drunk. Instead of giving up and showing where tanner is Katie could've take 50/50 and said, in the same 'i-gave-up' tone, "i saw werewolf" and point in one of the two cards.

The players had worked out where all the roles were except the Wolf and Tanner so they could have worked out that Sydney should have voted with the wolfs

@@Debbiebabe69 All three wolfs could have worked out that there was no way that Sydney was a villager, none of them did, so I don't think think the amount of talking comes in to it.

@@hens0w All three wolfs? Katie obviously knows she is a wolf, Donald is pretty resigned that he was wolfed, who is the other? If Katie stopped yapping and started thinking, she would have realized coming out was her best chance of winning. The drunk could be one of 3 things: Wolf - win if wolfs win, lose if villagers win. Tanner - lose either way. Copycat - hold on..... what actually happens here????? Aside from the copycat anomaly, the only way for the drunk to win is to hope she was wolfed and the wolfs win. If Katie realised this, she could have claimed an easy win.

You should play with Nostradamus more! He’s my favorite role in the One Night series of games because if you combo it with cards like Tanner or Assassin, then they could be on their team. However, I have found something with Nostradamus. When I play with him, my app doesn’t see Mortician as his own team. Also, if you play with any Neutral role from One Night Ultimate Super Villains, it will still have the Nostradamus be on the Villager team instead of being on a team like Mad Scientist, Intern, or Family Man.
