These things being both in the Dreamlands and on a realspace planet has some vastly concering implications Like, how they get from one to the other can determine just how aware they are If imported, then something is using them as a bioweapon If they did it themselves, how many other worlds have they devoured?

I was thinking the same thing! Especially with the sorcerers coming into play reminds me of the Bene Geserit (is that how its spelled?) if they decided to be helpful and the Dune's whole messiah thing.

Good question. I have no idea of Frank Herbert read Lovecraft, but he was certain the right age to have done so. He would have been a teenager when Lovecraft's stuff was appearing in Weird Tales.

Included these guys in a Pathfinder game fifteen years ago. I didn't know how to pronounce the name, and I didn't look it up because I was sure the party would be happy to do battle with a giant b-hole.

@@SandyofCthulhu Well, it was a learning experience for me and a b-hole load of experience for them. I learned that if you pit your players against an undefeatable foe beyond their ken, they're probably still going to try to kill it. Turns out the bhole's touch armor class is 1.
