During the year 1988 I was posted in the Qulion junction which comes under Trivendram Division and retired 1991,then it was MetereGauge excellent scenario between the stations tunnels high way bridgès forest area beyond punalur -Edaman etc.Now Indian Railways converted in to Broad Gauge.while you travelling in the train both sides lovely look and atmostphere you can enjoy the trip of travelling.R.Sethumadhavan Retired Head Train Examiner 89 yrs .

A must-see railway video ....I l have loved to travel between Sengottai and Kollam during the days of MG trains through the hilly terrain. After the gauge conversion, I did travel just once, a couple of years back and had planned to visit Tenkasi, Sengottai, Punalur, Tenmalai during April- May this year but could not do so due the Covid Crisis and the Lockdown . I am so happy to see this video and thought it fit to share the same.

Feeling very nostalgic. I traveled frequently through this way 50 years back when I was in my earlier teenage days from kollam to Kadayanallur where my father was serving under Tamil Nadu govt. Thanks a lot for reviving my memories

For a PASSENGER it.is impossible to take good videos or stills though one will be thinking of recording very good scenery . But you have.taken.many shots by standing.in vital locations and awaiting arrival of the Train. On 6th Aug 1965 I travelled by Meter gauge train from Kollam to Egmore Madras (Steam upto Madurai.then Madurai_ Villupuram Diesal and Villupuram _Madras ELECTRIC TRACTION) Including a .sleeper berth the cost was very high Rs.18.65 as the distance was just short for free sleeper!😁🤣
