4:51 Thanks for explaining why the lower potentiometer is so high. I saw it in a few photos and I thought it was a production defect. But it's a switch :)

Have mine 2 years. Excellent in every way. The only mods I've done are set of 009 s instead of the 10s it ships with. Installed a treble bleed on volume pot. Unbeatable.

Nice review, as always. :) Got mine from Thoman about 1-1,5 years ago (1st gen white pickguard), after trying bunch of Fs Player series... Was really blown away with what Sire decided to put out on the market at that price point. Then I went hot for Teles and nabbed me a Squier 2009 MiC VB Tele (almost mint) from a friend, now that thing really is a gem blows away Mexi "Playa" Teles out of the water... Btw at some point if you could doa FGN J-Standard Iliad White Blond (classic T style) review it would be really nice since we don't have/see them much in the EU (Austria). Heard those things (as well as Tokais) are a real gems at any price point.

Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it! Yeah the price Sire are hitting the market at is great. They have started to move into some higher end stuff now, especially the bass market, I noticed Andertons have a few really high end Sire basses for the £1200 region so I wonder if we'll see a higher priced guitar series too? That could be interesting... I'd love to do some FGN stuff... I have reached out to them a few times over the last few years but unfortunately they've never replied to me... maybe I'll have to try again soon! Tokai make some killer stuff. If you can find an early 1980s Tokai on the second hand market those are INSANE. I have a 1983 Tokai Strat style which is the best Strat I've ever played. The early 80s Made in Japan Tokai stuff is ridiculously good.

@@LeighFugeGuitar I think they are very well building up to that... But right now as is, it's hard to find a fault in the current T7 lineup - as it beats F's player lineup and is up to par withe the Player plus lineup. Vintera lineup is still very good (better than performer series, especially the old Road Worn and Baja Teles f.e.) Maybe better QC (as I've seen some complaints regarding fret leveling) and maaaaybe the pickups - but those are always personal preference and one can always throw in some aftermarket sets...

Bought a southpaw one in blue based on a weekend spent watching and reading reviews of what is clearly an awesome guitar that punches well above its price point. Cant wait to get it 🥳🥳🥳🥳

Thinking about adding an S7 to the mix but as a leftie I ordered up a T7FM in blue like the one behind him. I won’t get it until Feb along with a black H7V and black L7. Just ordered a red T7 and G5N but those come in August or so. GAS has me by the nads I guess.

I bought a used Sire Marcus Miller bass. After a little neck adjustment for rattling strings it plays really well now. Didn’t know they make guitars too. This one looks very nice.

It's crazy what you can get for the money these days, I'm blown away by how good these are out of the box. I've played plenty of guitars that cost double the cost of the S7 and it easily holds its ground against them!

@@LeighFugeGuitar the one I ordered was the one they had on display,and the guy I spoke to explained it had a little dent on the area where the neck meets the headstock, ut I still wanted it.when it arrived,I struggled to see anything at all.my wife showed it to me,and it really was that small,a pin prick sized dent.I have several guitars,and none bar one,is up to the standard the S7 has.

I've only played the 2 Sire guitars that I've got into videos but I'm happy to say I do like them both. I haven't played the H7 or the L7 models yet BUT someone did also comment on this video saying they bought those models and they seem to like them. I've heard a lot of good stuff about them. What is it about the Rivera you're not digging? I always wanted one but I always felt something was stopping me pulling the trigger on one

Do you know if in position 2 without the coil split does the humbucker split by itself like the version 1 or does it give you full humbucker along with the middle pickup?

Can anyone explain to me the volume pot on this guitar? It has a sharp rolloff at around 3-4. I usually use the volume pot to adjust the amount of overdrive but in this guitar I can't do that because nothing much happens to reduce the overdrive and then the volume rolls off at about 3. I am not using a compressor.

Genuine question, is Sire electric guitars giggable?
@LeighFugeGuitar

I had bought this guitar twice due to a stressful time with Thomann. So I bought it again In my home town and to a Luthier also after 3 months. This is a class guitar . Very nice. Harley Benton’s new version of this is no way the same as.

Hey there, one of the best reviews, great job. got one from thomann but the push/push knob doesn't do anything at the 2nd position. Do you know why?
@LeighFugeGuitar
@LeighFugeGuitar 2 ай бұрын
Hey Thanks so much, glad you enjoyed the video. That’s unusual, the push pull should still split the Humbucker even in the 2nd position. It might be quite subtle, but it should do it. Is the split working on the 1st position?

@@LeighFugeGuitarI'd say it's plays and feels way better then Fender player series . The rolled fret edges are so comfortable to play on,also bone nut and locking tuners, which the player series has none of those things. The s7 is my favorite guitar to play and I've had Gibson Les Paul's, Fender Strats and PRS and in my opinion this guitar is better then them all !

I have a Sire L7V with P90s and it's one of the finest instruments I've ever laid my hands on but my S7 is dreadful, it literally can't be tuned correctly due to some problem that I still haven't been able to identify. It's got to the point where I just can't be bothered and feel like smashing the thing to pieces every time I try and fail to sort it out so I leave it in a case on the basis that one day I'll maybe pay a guitar tech to try to sort it out or I'll just consider it a complete fail and never play it again. To be fair I don't even like the tones and general sound of the guitar either, it's just a typically buzzy, tinny sounding strat style guitar and I guess I should have known better and just never bought one but the L7V got me hyped about Sires in general hence why I went against my better judgement. 😩
