Hello Fraser. I know you obviously love your GS Bemmers but have you ridden the R1250RT? As a two up tourer we find it superior to our GS. It is nibble, smooth, comfortable and fun to ride two up. The RT seems to give you more room between the rider and pillion. I have to check that she is still aboard at times 🙂. My wife won't ride pillion on the GS any more because she has been too spoilt by the RT. P.S but you need option the top box to give the pillion that back support. Central locking all the cases is also great. We recently did a trip from Munich covering the Grossglockner, Dolomites & Stelvio and a few other passes two up on a rental RT. It was packed with luggage and was not put to shame on the twisties. Regards John R Western Australia

The most beautiful Country in the world for sure. In the Summer of 2012 my wife and I did a Honeymoon tour of the UK on our bikes, me on my Buell and the wife on her Royal Enfield. We had the most memorable wettest ride of any we've ever done and the memories of the Scottish West Coast will stay with us forever. We were told that the weather was perfect for "Foreigners" because we would be eaten alive by the midges if it was drier.😁

Heading that way next June 2023 as part of a long trip from Lanark via Perth A93 then onto Dingwall overnight then to Dunnet Head before returning again to Dingwall for the night again before riding onto Ardnamurchan point ( overnight camp ) via A82 and Fort William for a part of my four points tour of UK mainland, I was thinking of using the ferry but the road up to Fort William is not that far and I plan for lunch there and fill up before returning to Lanark via the A82 Glencoe, Green Welly, Erskine bridge and M74 I hope the weather is better than this year when I did the NC500 on my 2022 Super Cub 125, this time I will be on my Rebel1100 so can go a bit quicker. BTW I am in Reading Berkshire so have to ride over 300 miles just to start from Lanark where my other half comes from, she will drive up with the dog and she can visit her mum who is in a care home in Lanark.
