One of my favourite variety venues in the world closes

I performed on the opening night of the mighty Aeronaut circus, so I had to be on the last ever show too. It was emotional..

*TODAY I ORDERED* a £260 pair of tailor scissors, the people in Sheffield will hand make them over the next 11 weeks custom for me, the other pair I was interested in would take A YEAR as that is the length of the waiting list. There was a time when I worried all the great things would eventually die, the great pubs would close the last cabinet maker would retire, the last fabric mill in Huddersfield would go quiet - I was wrong. There are enough people who appreciate GOOD things to keep GOOD things going, so whilst this variety club has closed - I am sure another one will open...!!!

It is really sad that so many of these venues have closed. Never made it on the stage of Cafe de Paris. Somehow it didn't feel urgent, it was always going to be there...

It sounds like a sad time for you. It's difficult dealing with change. As a semi-related add-on comment: is there somewhere we can go to find your show dates and perhaps book tickets?
