Nice video. Man, it makes me feel old watching someone go 100% like that, 😂😂. My game is much slower and has a lot less effort than it used to. I like how much control you have over space with someone going 100%. It still takes energy to control someone going that hard, but worse if you give them space. You have a lot of control and I gather you’re safe to roll with. That’s the mark of an excellent training partner.

@@JordanTeachesJiujitsu all good man. I have been all beat up anyways. Broke a rib a few months ago and then I was only back for a month or two and broke a finger (caught in the Gi). Now I am home with strep throat. My bad luck has to run out soon. This is what it looks like to be an old man who still likes to train. My days feel limited sometimes but I am doing what I can to stop it

This is by far my favourite Jiu Jitsu channel on KZbin. I've only been training for 6 months but am absolutely hooked!! Had so much success with your fake guard pull to ankle pick takedown. The details to finish the arm in guillotine have been fantastic. Got my first comp in July and I feel so much more prepared after soaking in your knowledge!! Thanks Jordan!! Cheers from Australia!! 🦘

I really like the way you use key words in your materials. I'm talking, for example, about "discipline" etc. In this way it's very easy to get an idea of the concepts constantly running through your videos and even such a simple rolling commentary dovetails with the rest of your more instructional material. Love it!

High quality Video and my favorite part was your half guard game. I think the best way to Deal with it is to not engage it at all lol. I would like to get a half guard as such as yours. Playing bottom guard in mma and self defence is generally stupid, but its nice to have a a plan if we get taken down or we fall accidentially to the ground. Just to not get smashed or soccer kicked in the face. Eventually to do a technically stand up.

Jordan, when you were working to finish the triangle at the beginning and had your foot on his hip. The second he tries to stand posture up and stand on that leg, bail from your foot on his hip and immediate start to put it just above his knee and push it out so he ends up falling deeper into your triangle. I can't tell you how many times that gets me the finish when I'm stuck in that exact spot with someone bigger/stronger than me. Right about at the :53 or :54 mark, start to chop out his base on that leg and he's gonna fall deeper into the triangle. As long as you keep your knee pinched you should be able to keep his arm trapped as you change the angle and get the easy finish. I've learned a ton from your videos and maybe I'm not telling you anything you don't already know, but in the event it could help I figured I had to speak up just in case. Triangles are my strong suit by far, too bad the rest of it isn't nearly as polished. Thank you for your videos brother.
