@@TheReviewStudios Nickelodeon had some pretty good live action shows to go along with the coming of SNICK. "Clarissa Explains It All", "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" and "All That" and some good game shows, too, like " Legends of the Hidden Temple" and "Nick Arcade". I still remember when SNICK first started. It went "Doug", "Rugrats", "Ren and Stimpy" and "Are You Afraid of the Dark". I loved Dr. Vink with a Va Va Va in "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" one of the few recurring characters on the show. I also remember when Disney bought "Doug" and put it on Disneys/ABCs "One Saturday Morning". "Recess" was my favorite show on that Saturday morning block.. but they had some pretty good shows and skits on there too. Love the videos, man! Really takes me back to the good ole days... This was the best Kids Show ever. It was more for older kids early teens which was what I was when it was on. The one where they find the car buried at the beach was great! I remember the Dad also had a competition with another dad on the trip to see how high they could stack suitcases on top of their cars 🤣 Another good one was when Young Pete protested having a bed time by getting a bunch of his friends to try and stay awake for for like 12 days or something. One by one they keep falling asleep and dropping out but Pete does it and his mom is actually proud of him for achieving his goal and agrees to push back his bedtime by 30 mins 😂 In a halloween episode the bullies all carved out pumpkins from the bottom and wear them on their heads and terrorize the town. Me and my Cousin copied that and wore pumpkins on our heads for Trick or Treat. We didn’t get away with much terror in our quiet neighborhood though

OHHH man! From 0:01 to the last minute, I was on the corner of Nick Blvd. and Nostalgia Rd., watching Pete and Pete on the old CRT TV's in the window of an antique store! This was one of my absolute favorites growing up (during this time frame), along side of ALL the early Nicktoons, Hey Dude, Salute Your Shorts, W-W-W-Wild and Crazy Kids, Family DD, Nick Arcade, and the like!! I would've been around Danny's age, I had such a crush on Ellen, and Artie is STILL my most favorite superhero (move over Iron Man, lol). I grew up with a loving family (in their own way) but I had always wished that Pete and Pete's parents were mine...they were that quirky but fun and loving family that you could fall in love with. Older Pete was very much like one of my older brothers, and the show all around just sat right with me during that time... Ohhh man...I have quite a few typical adult issues in life, but when I look back at things like this, ti lets me know that in the midst of all these issues, I can still smile, laugh, even cry a good cry, remembering all the good times I had back then! I hope you will cover more of these shows (There are SOOOO many of them!). 📢 🎶🎶 Ni-Ni-Nick Nick, Ni-Nick Nick Nick...NICK-EL-O-DEON!! 🎶🎶

I remember when "the 90s are all that" block started, and modern Nick finally realized people really liked this old stuff, not just endless spengberb reruns... and they launched this whole plan to revitalize the network, make new stuff, get the old creators back, and they rightly put will mcrobb and chris viscardi at the helm and then just quietly canceled it later after a couple movies came out and nobody watched them because they didn't promote them. and one was an atrocity. but at least McRobb got to write the new Harriet the Spy series, and it kicked absolute ass.

Hello! I’ve been a subscriber for a while now and really like your channel. Meant to post this response during the Parker Lewis video (which was also great) but yes, I do want to see more individual show perspective to your channel such as this video and Parker Lewis. However, I do hope you keep giving us an evaluation of the failed shows of each year, that’s how I became such a big fan of the channel, there were some shows I remember and some I discovered first time. Keep up the great work and yes, I loved Pete & Pete. I remember the shorts when they first started, the specials, and the TV series. I can’t say I’m surprised Nick asked it to be more “MainStream.” Glad it didn’t happen, the show was great for what it was and carved its own identity. If the show was made in the 2000s or even late 1990s it probably would feel like a duplicate of everything else Nick airs
