@@Destector. The only issues I had are with Wallpaper Engine running in the background, while gaming. If I didn’t deactivate it manually it crashed regularly but other than that performance and stability is great

The 16GB A770 paired with an i9 13900k and 64GBs of DDR5 ram makes for an excellent content creation machine, it just flies in DaVinci Resolve. As a gaming machine it punches above its weight class and has pleasantly surprised me. In some newer games it offers 3060 Ti performance, it even nips at the heels of a 3070. As drivers continue to improve I think we'll have a solid 3070 competitor. Overall very happy with my setup.

@stavroskara8530 If you're mainly playing DX12 or Vulkan games its fine. DX9 has improved a lot too. I don't play too many games on my PC, it's more of a content creation workstation, but it runs Returnal and Atomic Heart great without issues, it runs those games better than a PS5 if that helps.

4090 in my main rig and just built a second rig for my wife or when friends come over with a 13600k and a750 and I actually love it . I play a lot of dx11 games and it works wonderfully . Have tried at least 20 games with it and haven’t had any of the poor performance most people talk about .

Solid video I'm very interested in emulation performance as always although we have tended to notice that emulators don't necessarily need a ton of GPU power they do need a minimum of something like a GTX 1050 occasionally with higher end emulators you may require more GPU power if you are upscaling two more dense resolutions like 4K

Hopefully this clears some stigma from Intel GPUs. A lot of the issues on launch date have been fixed. There’s still more to be fixed, of course, but they’re making rapid improvements.

Thanks for a nice review. The Arc cards has really come a long way in a very short time, and just keeps getting better with every driver update. The comparison in the end tough with the 3070 I feel is not relevant. 3070 is not the competitor to the A750, and the price difference is to big, even if you go second hand.

Finally got my A750 LE. Such a gorgeous card. Something I appreciate in a market of absolutely fugly cards now that EVGA is gone (the final holdout of actually good looking GPUs). Also, Activision broke XeSS in MWII and hasn’t fixed it, turning it on tanks my fps by 80%. For other people it doesn’t seem to be quite as drastic, but having it on results in lower fps than having it off. Can try FSR if you want resolution scaling, even though it’s not as good sadly.

I think Chris Fisher of Jupiter Broadcasting say that there are some production workflow increases when using the ARC GPU he tested. And it was on Linux with the new 6.2 Kernel.

Yeh these Intel cards are underrated. At their new pricing and with the new drivers, they are a valid option in the budget/mainstream space. Their only real competitor is the Rx 6650XT and the Rx 6700 from Amd, in terms of New cards.

People were hating on ARC cards to start because Intel's early software was not good. But they are getting better-optimised code and it's looking good. What it does for the price is amazing. I'm looking at doing a new (old) super cheap rig with either an ARC or RTX A2000 inside some ex-corporate desktop off eBay. I love value for money and for the first time in a few years, there are good options.

@@mr.electronx9036 The thing about you being an "early adopter" is true, and there could be "gotchas" with this card in some games. However, this card performs well with Vulkan as well as DX12, and with the newest drivers isn't bad with DX9 and DX11 thanks to Intel's adoption of DXVK technology to make the drivers work better for those older APIs. I'm pretty sure an RX 6700 XT still beats this card out, though (at least when not using ray tracing).

im sitting with a 6800 i got for about 400 bones, just change cyber punk up to high settings with a bit of tweaks and some ray tracing on 1440p and i got around 70 ish some times a bit more, so if you do not care for ray tracing and want to tweak the settings it would not be a bad way to go so a decent medium/high 1440p buget rig would be a 5600 32 gigs of ram and this gpu with about a 600 wat psu or if you are crazy and want to go for the odd route an x99 build with a bios hack quad channel ram and a decently high end xeon and you could do really well

I downsized from a full tower with a 3070ti down to a small micro atx with an a750. Card works very well in some games and even has decent raytracing performance in lighter games like Amid Evil. The a750 really hates playing Tarkov though I have to say though it does many other games with ease @1080

I have a virtual pinball table and several arcade cabinets, so having cards that fit a SFF case and work as low power options are key, so I'm really tuned in on the A750 to see if it becomes a worthy upgrade to 1050ti or 1650 for those applications. It's nice to see some low power options that are approaching that sub-$200 price point. Any testing or comparisons in the low power world would always be useful.

I wouldn't call the A750 a low power option. I wanted to get one, but specifically didn't because it has too much heat, size and power use compared to something like a 6600xt. Intel is probably the least power efficient of the midrange graphics card options currently available

Those aren't really comparable cards in terms of pricing. A750 is a 3060 competitor, and its cheaper and faster than it. A770 is a 3060ti competitor, and its cheaper and nearly as fast as it on average. Only Amd competes with Intel in terms of price/performance in this budget range, with things like their Rx 6650XT and Rx 6700.

Intel should totally build a NUC mini PC with one of these paired with an i5 12400f and 32 GB of memory standard and an Intel 660p 1 TB m.2 SSD and target the product at Video Editing and Digital Media professionals needing to run the likes of Adobe creative cloud as well as Engineering professionals needing to run things like Solid Works, Inventor, or Wolfram Mathmatica. Would also work well for casual enthusiast gamers and would make a great Home Theater PC also. Also would love to see a dedicated emulation and 4k video playback video.

Try the ARC 770 16Gb. At 4k ultra nightmare Doom 2016 and Doom eternal is similar to the RTX 3070 and much cheaper. BUT some dx9-11games do not work, and at 1080p and 1440p is more similar to the 3060 Ti or 3060 depending on the game. A great affordable 4k gaming GPU, and I am enjoying a lot replaying titles at 4k.

How much Power does it take? Is it significantly less than a RX 5700 XT or a RX 6600 XT so that it could fit better into a cheap used OEM PC with something like aRyzen 2600/3600 or a Intel 9400/10400 F with a 310 Watt PSU (like most of HP Pavilion 590/595 have)? The RX 6600 none XT is efficient enough for that I think.

Ordered the ASRock Challenger A750 a week ago. Trouble shot it for 7 hours straight. Display port would not work. Ended up returning it. I have also seen countless people having display and fan issues with these cards. I would wait until they come out with their next gen GPUs.

there isnt tho. high end its nvidia due to rt being bad on amd and nvidia knows it hence the 2000 dollar card. low and midrange amd will always be the better. intel has no place in gpu nor cpu anymore. ppl seem to forget that gen 13 is not the competitor of zen 4. gen 12 is competitor to zen 4. intel is always late with their shit so it looks as if they do better but they dont. these gpus are 2 years newer then the other cards. and they are shit.

@@Jokerwolf666 u mean like amd vs intel and amd vs nvidia? keep telling ur self that. only reason these cards go down in price is that they are shit. the reason amd and nvidia is going down is because its 2 year old hardware ffs. but keep telling ur self that intel is competition for amd or nvidia or on cpus what so ever. always fun to learn how they compete when the card is up vs 2 year old hardware and cant beat it in performance or in price. same as the cpus. but hey lets hope and cope for intel to "compete"

I'm not the one you should really take the word from but I think it's about 3060 ti level no? 400$ gpu for 249$ looks heavenly

It is worth noting that these Arc GPUs suffer a large performance hit if you are using it in a system that is not compatible with Resizable BAR, which is most systems that are older than PCIe gen 4. If you have a motherboard with Gen 3, there is a chance that your motherboard will have a BIOS update that gives it ReBAR support, but if not you should avoid Arc GPUs.

got the A750 paired with a R7 5700x cpu and b550 mobo, sadly the gpu wont work on premiere pro without an igpu for decoding, it works nice for Hitfilm pro and Davici resolve, but I work mainly on premiere pro!

Thanks for this video. Would love to see you demonstrate it hooked up to a laptop. I have a laptop with a 1660ti and wondered if an external GPU is a good upgrade option. The a750 possibly being a nice starting point while saving for something bigger?

No its not. The issue is bandwidth, cost and the sheer amount of hassle. You want a 30% performance boost? Just buy a used rtx 3060 laptop for around $600. Infact, during blackfriday, there were $650 nitro 5 laptops with a 3060 on wallmart. Think about it. You have to buy a enclosure, the GPU, setup a powersupply for it, etc.

@@siyzerix this is why I was interested to see an up to date external gpu setup video. Ultimately I'd love a 40 series card but thought this might be a stepping stone. Also curious about steam os and mini pcs with amd GPUs. Just feeding on everything ETA really! haha

@@TallmanBradGameplay Rtx 4000 series is a joke. Worthless crap from nvidia at their current prices on laptops and desktops. Look. Your 1660ti is still enough to run most games. I'll just say sell off your 1660ti laptop and get a used 3060 laptop or a 3070 one.
