Great review! I purchased the Morefine M9 recently and have been super happy with it! After being away from PC's for a long time, I was shocked at how good a mini PC could be for such a low price. I paid less than $200 US for the M9. Most reviewers recommend a clean install of the Windows 11 Pro OS, which I accomplished without too much hassle. Morefine does offer email tech support and they were decently helpful. Robtech, well done, keep up the good work!

I'm going with this one. From all your other mini reviews plus you gave it top slot in another video and the price is right on amazon now. Thanks!

Something I didn't mention with this one is that the chassis is made out of metal (top and bottom are plastic). Another great feature.

Glad you added this. It wouldn't change how I felt about buying this unit, but it's a nice feature to have at this price point.

Bought the M9S. Took 4 days for it to be shipped. Then it took another week to get here from Hong Kong. It's not complete trash, but it took way too long to actually ship after being purchased.

interesting unit. The price with the coupon on AMZN US does price it very nicely and it's not butt-ugly, which helps. I liked that they were using an AX201 card, which appears can be swapped out, as many in this price range use older cards. My concern is that while using a 2242 SSD is almost unavoidable in this form factor (perhaps definitely so), if you need to upgrade it, a 1TB drive is going to cost essentially the same as the unit itself, so I suppose the lesson is to use this until it dies and put the money into a new unit. Still, were I looking for a low-end general use unit, this one seems like a good candidate. Nice quick, to-the-point review too!

Another good thing with the M8S is that I could stick a 2TB 2280 NVMe drive in it (with the end hanging out a little bit). Once the top cover is 'mostly' clipped on, the 2280 SSD is held in well enough and works reliably. It's a great little HTPC for LibreELEC. Especially if you install Chrome browser on it.

great channel. Our family PC will probably soon go into the children's room and be replaced by a mini. The raspi4 home server also calls for a fanless replacement. But here the choice is not so easy.

There is a new one on the block in the Soon Mini N that claims to have 4x USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports plus USB-C port in addition to 2x HDMI and 2.5Gb Ethernet. Supports M.2 2280 and a 2.5" SSD. One downside is that the RAM is only DDR4 3200. Looks worth a test.

All the World except one country moves to the new USB C standard - higher speeds, thunderbolt, DP and PD support. China: nope, we don't care so you don't need it. It's good to have one or two USB A ports, but I'd like to see at least two USB Cs and one of them must be DP+PD.

Not bad but I do wonder whether the feature set is slightly screwed. I would much prefer better USB I/O with 3.2 Gen 2 and one more f them, perhaps a full function port with video out. I do wonder how many people are actually likely going to use both HDMi ports and the DP at the same time. Personally I would also be happy with a single Ethernet port. For something this size and in the market that I think it it is generally aimed, another model with a different port selection would, IMO, be an even more attractive deal.

It's an interesting option, especially for a very low budget firewall box; or just a machine to hand to the kids or a guest. In a pinch, it'd be more than enough for nearly any common task short of gaming; It does seem that one needs to spend a bit more money if they want 2.5G ethernet to get a better unit; but I do agree with the noise assessment ; I'd rather have a deathly silent machine as I tend to use a computer for work & upwards of 16 hours a day.. All I really require is that the machine not be slow; most N100's fit the bill, as does anything faster. These things are fantastically small. Can't believe how small these things are; I used to have CPU coolers that were much larger.

Mine would not activate without a school email. The Morefine website is horrible and does not even have the drivers for this unit. Tried to download drivers from intel and could not get several drivers to installl using the official Intel driver ap. I do not belive the Intel 206 wireless is even in this machine, as Intel could not find it. Never buying a "Morefine" product again, ever. @@Robtech

Mine had AX201 as listed by device manager. I updated drivers without issue, so I can't report on problems I didn't experience. Most mini PC sellers don't have drivers on their websites, something nearly all of them need to improve on. They do have a support contact form where you can request drivers for the device though.
