I had a game on earth 2209 ad and i won despite the fact that one person got russia turn 1 and expanded into me first. He killed everyone except for 1 bot. On my second to last turn i said to myself the only path to victory was him killing all troops of the bot except for a cheeky kill guard i had and then for that bot to not have a set on 4. That all happened exactly as i said it would. I was very happy to win that game

Does anyone know what changes are made, in the Risk game online, when the current ranking season (13) ends in a few days..? Is there just casual games available, or is something else put in place…? When would season 14 start…? Cheers.

Nothing changes over seasons. Everyones skillpoints reset to the base of their rank and if they didn't play at all this season to the base of one rank lower. The next season starts immediately.

I feel like progressive is in a bad place. The meta now seems to be extra greedy, take bonuses and large amounts of board, and keep one large position for making kills. I play overworld progressive regularly, and my last few games people have even held the massive bonuses without being broken. I’ve been trying to play the same as in high skill games, but always get fed after some noob decides to hit my 6 after triple attacking before the first trade to take a bonus.

It's in a terrible place. The ranking system punishes us for playing the mode. Only caps can get you #1. It isn't a Risk ranking system it's a caps ranking system.
