The Kyoto Animation tragedy hit me really hard when i heard about it cuz they make beautifull animes, and this was one of the newest they published at that time. You know when they make an anime just becauuse they put so much effort to the details, from the music, the light and fluidity, everything has a meaning.

The opening is amazing, but the most iconic song of Violet Evergarden is still the ending song. Can't have a proper HAPPY BIRTHDAY without it.

Yeah the ending is so iconic. I think that hearing it at the end of episode 10 especially hits hard. One of my favorite ending songs of any anime.

Long time no see Violet😭 The movie opening is indeed sung by the OP and ED singers of the anime, and the title is "Futarigoto (two talking to themselves)". It may be a good idea to revisit Oshinoko songs, or it might be even greater when you revisit them after season 3 comes out... Also, if you haven't reacted to B komachi's songs sung by the voice actors, that's also recommended!

As many people have said, the full MV for the ending song is a sequel to the opening MV. I'd Also recommend listening to the full version of the movie song 'Futarigoto' by TRUE and Minori Chihara, and also the full version of the first movie's ending song 'Amy' by Minori Chihara.

It took me a while to realize that Violet is actually autistic. No where does the anime address this, nor do people seem to realize it, but even so Violet Evergarden is the best narration and depiction of autism in anime I've ever seen. I watched this whole anime before I was diagnosed with autism myself, but even so Violet's character was just so very familiar - The way she needed a description before she could process emotions especially so. No anime has helped me more than this one. I've had a few characters that helped me love myself, but I never felt healing from any anime until I watched Violet. In fact, not even with my own family, have I felt so vulnerable and connected the way I have towards Violet. This anime took me back down to the deepest memories and pain, but for the first time, Violet made me feel like someone was there with me.

Violet Evergarden is one of Kyoto Animation's best works! With a delicate and touching story, beautiful music and animation, I love this anime. I have watched it many times and cried many times. The OVA and the movie are all amazing. 🥹 Anyone who likes Frieren in particular should definitely watch this.

14:03 funny enough, you could very much watch it again all in one sitting, at least with the main TV anime. There's a very good official Violet summary movie of the main anime that allows you to experience it all again in about 1 1/2 hours. Highly recommend it if you choose to rewatch the masterpiece that is this series. Also for Oshi no Ko rereaction, I'd be down, but consider maybe doing it once the anime is also finished and you watch it all? Season 3 is confirmed to be happening after all.
