“I grabbed this deck of cards, and I flipped a 7. And I started doing seven push-ups. I flipped a 6; I did six. I flipped a 9; I did nine. I flipped a 2; I did two. I flipped another 9; I did nine until I got all the way through the deck. Jack, Queen, King worth 10. Aces - 25 and Jokers - 50. Until I got sick and tired of what pain felt like in my gut…I shuffled them all over again, and I started doing sit-ups. I wanted to make sure sports wasn’t the reason I started training. The beginning was the saddest story. As a mother, I would never want my son to walk through this darkness. It changes you permanently. I am glad he shared his story. But the pain of having a mother who had said chose abusive men often and having to bury that to succeed, is a feat. Too many stories are like this across all nationalities. I pray every young man who lived this or in this today, finds his promise and freedom. God knows you and is near....make effort to reach Him. It is a life-changer.

I had offers from several D3 schools and I couldn’t take any of them. They all gave up on me when I got hurt. For months, I cried, sat around, even tried the easy way out. Then I stumbled upon Ray, Kobe, Ali, Goggins and I started listening. I started the 52 cards, putting in hours on and off the field not for everyone who told me I can’t and I won’t, but that I can say to myself I did and I will. I am a frosh in college now, still working towards a walk on whoever will take me. Thanks Ray.

How he says pain and how he feels what he is saying is really motivating. So passionate about his memories about his pain and about life Ray Lewis When some people think of Ray Lewis they think of a person that cheated his way out of murder charges. There is also a majority of people that think that he is one of the greatest linebackers and people of all time. In my opinion just the fact that he bounced back from false murder charges with such enthusiasm was remarkable. He is also a leader on and off the football field and is mentally an physically strong. Also Ray is arguably the best middle linebacker to ever play the game of football. Ray Lewis should be considered a modern day hero because of all of these attributes. Ray Lewis is a modern day hero because of his leadership on and off the football field. One of many examples of Lewis’s leadership is seen everywhere he goes. According to an article, “Lewis is a leader to many people including myself. Sometimes before game at team hotels he has public speaking sessions describing himself and what he has been through in his entire life. In these speaking events he tells how God plays a huge part of life and how that God is the answer to many of your problems. ” Brubaker 3. What Brubaker is saying that Lewis is a leader everywhere he goes even away from the football field and he wants people to know that even though they might they think their lives are bad that to never give up and that you will always find a way through. Lewis also shows amazing leadership qualities on the football field. Statistics show that when he is not playing that the Baltimore Ravens are a different football team. According to an article, “At no point of the 2012 season did the Ravens have Terrell Suggs and Ray Lewis on the field at the same time. Suggs and Lewis are the emotional leaders for that defense, always inspiring teammates with their powerful remarks and refusal to give up”

Thank you Ray Lewis... you have motivated me every day... be blessed and unstoppable

This is honestly the most inspiring speech ever. Ray Lewis has the motivation in his words because he talks with meaning. My goal is to be successful. I want to become a "KZbinr" and hopefully a "Pro Gamer". Everybody says that being a "KZbinr" or a "Pro Gamer" is not a practical job which really demotivates me. But I know that I will be successful in whatever I do because I believe in myself. Remember that interests change and don't be afraid of change as it is an important part of success. My interests could change as well but right now I'm gonna focus on what I love doing! And yeah, don't ever stop BELIEVING in yourself.

Reminds when I was in the army. We was doing are first ten mile road March. Full gear and even rocks in our rug sacks. It was several miles in. When we did a road March a deuce and a half road with us. Our drill sergeant said if you want to quit get in the back. I remember walking it was horrible. I kept looking at the truck. Drill sergeant walk up to me. Said once you get in the back the first time. Each time it will get easier. Than every time you are hurting you will quit private. This isn't forever what you are feeling. If you quit that will last forever. Keep thinking one more step. Than he just jogged up the line. I didn't look at the deuce and a half again. I kept looking at the ground. Kept thinking five more minutes. After five minutes I thought five more. Until we finished. Never forgot what that drill sergeant said.

@@jomama4974 some kind of sorcerer you are huh? Do you realize the only reason people can't accomplish something is by listening to BS like you just said? It's not your business it's not your live man. Someone wants to be good at something positive and this is your answer? A cold heart and a soul that will learn what it means to feel pain. With pain comes fortitude, solidarity and triumph. Not to emboldened the watchers but to enlighten the ones who do give a damn. To be people.

His words are truly so inspirational. I actually got the pleasure of meeting the man himself. I said to him that he is my hero and how much speeches like this meant to me. He had the biggest smile on his face that someone took his words literally and applied it. Got a great picture too.

Def needed this, to be honest life is really hard but I know I can get through it. Just need a little push, a crack of light and faith the size of a mustard seed as I’ve gotten through rough times before. Everyone has their barriers, their demons, their pain but sooo many people have prevailed. It’s not easy though and it hurts it really hurts but I appreciate these videos cause it gives me something that I really never had growing up. So thanks for theses cause they really help me get through what I and others never though I could overcome. This is my 5th time watching this today and I think I’ll stay here another few hours. When I walk out the closer I’ve been crying in, I’ll be able to take on life. :)
