Very normal for Yorkshire!! It's the >20% ones with cobbles which are a bit of a drag! Try Trooper Lane or Shibden Wall in Halifax if you want some fun!

Now ride a recumebnt trike rather than a bicycle. Hills are relatively effortless with rohloff hub and tripple chainring 44/34/22. Steepest I think I went up was 25% according to strava . Not hard, just slow in lowest gear.

You got up a 25% gradient in a recumbent? Wow, I never understood how it would be to climb in one, fair play! I'll be doing more top 100 climbs soon, should be doing one this weekend hopefully 🤞

@@Russ_Dillon The trike was climbing about 1mph up the 25% incline which is a great benefit of a trike as can go as slow as you want without risk of falling over. . Since then put a bafung 250W motor on it with a 46 chainring. For the same effort, the trike now goes up hills twice as fast. On max assistance level, I get 60 miles a charge which is decent.
