One of the hardest MTB trails in Southern Spain... Here we go!

Some of the hardest mountain biking in southern Spain. We joined a group ride on the enduro bikes to ride a black mtb trail called Juanar, about 40 mins from Malaga.
Full suspension very much required for this trail! Several km of mountain biking gold. We were told it was Gee Atherton's favourite trail in Spain at one point. Super chunky with chutes, rock gardens and some scary slab rolls! Definitely a downhill mtb trail but that you can ride on enduro bikes.
This is often part of guided rides I believe as it's quite an iconic mtb trail! Accessed via a tarmac climb up to the refuge at the top of the mountain then it's pure descent from there down to just above the town. Hope you enjoy this mtb POV from the trail, shot on the Go Pro Hero 11 Mini.

It looks a tough trail! My gf has a house in Marbella so I should definitely try it. How does it compare to finale trails - for instance Madonna Della Guardia - in terms of difficulty?

Ah that’s great having a house there. Lots of good riding. The Ojen area is super. I’d say if you can ride Madonna you can ride this. It’s different - more boulders etc so you need speed in places or it’s easy to get stuck and go over the bars. First run you probably need to look at some bits for the lines then second time is easier! Faster you go, crazier it gets!
