Hye, I loved this video. I met my cofounder through a friend. I used to be very distracted and very confuse because in my circle people don't have a growth mindset and they are not passionate about problem-solving and building a business out of it. I still remember, asking my friends of anyone they know who is like me, who wants to achieve something in his life and do business. One day, one of my friends said yeah he has a friend who is kind of mad like you. He helped us to get connected and we both loved each other. Then we used to meet for a whole year to discuss different ideas and our progress on our own projects and one day we decided to work together on his idea which was pretty cool. We are together since then and trying hard to build a brand.

Gives a lot of clarity. Just adding to this - a deeper dive into some past behaviour, professional and personal abt the potential co-founder if required would save a lot of your time if engaged. how trustworthy is this guy( he has all the necessary skills ) , bt what do other people - his co-workers, past colleagues, acquaintances have to say abt him- will this guy really back you up in all the ups and down that are to come..does he has the courage to honestly say what he feels abt 'X' and what alternatives can both work mutually and so on.

So, thanks a lot for this video!

Very much agree to it, Ankur.. I have worked with many co-founders in the past. Value & conflict in the vision is something which would impact your startup or I'd say more over destroy it before it is even launched.

A brilliant anecdotes Ankur, as usual. I met my co-founder in Orkut. I know, not the best expected space. My startup was much like WYSA (Google funded) of 2020, but in the era of 2010, when Economic Times, Power of Ideas nominated my idea. Maybe we can discuss the rest sometime later.

Hey Ankur. A very useful video with clear ways to know whether or not one needs a co-founder in the first place. People don't usually think about that at all and just dive into finding a co-founder. I had a few questions that were running in my mind- when we look for cofounders or even when we try to network with people to know things about a completely new domain in which we may want to start a business in, do we reveal information about our vision and the details about our business plan? I feel that the best way is to be transparent and deeply connect in order for us to understand and evaluate if they would be suitable or not, however there is also a possibility that they take our idea and put it into use first due to whatever advantage they have in the field. How do I tackle this properly? Any suggestions?
