The carve on the body and the brushed pickguard on these were such bold choices, but they're really working. Love everything about the look of these.

They definitely are, and I felt weird about them at first... but after playing I think they really add to the aesthetic of the guitar. And that's coming from someone who is not really into this style of guitar at all lol!

Mooer is making moves! This product isn't for me exactly but I recognize it for what it is, revolutionary. I'm sure we all had a pedal we wished was mounted strait into our guitar. Well here it is, on steroids. Peoducts like this are going to inspire the hell out of young players. And for that I'd call this a solid win.
@8stringwrshpleader2 жыл бұрын
I agree with your conclusion. I wonder if it would make sense to use the built in effects as a "virtual pedalboard" that you plug straight into an amp. It would be cool to hear a demo where you bypass the amp&cab and go into a high gain amp with the built in effects as boost and eq.
@sunflowerhaze14982 жыл бұрын
Mooer needs to release the app for PC/Mac as well. I don't want to be attached to my phone/tablet. I'm already using the computer for everything else with music/guitar. I have the S800 and Prime P1 pedal, which for me has replaced the heavy S800. Love the products, just would love to use it in combo with everything else on the computer!

If they released on of these with a smaller body or missing the horns, it would be a perfect travel guitar. Which is the best use for these Mooer guitars anyway. A little frustrating they haven’t embraced the GTRS series as travel guitars yet.
@DANCEDWAT2 жыл бұрын
Built in FX and built in Wireless... definitely a large convenience factor. I'd like to just have a rhythm preset where I can twist left for my lead tone and right for my clean tone. For a while I thought one of those VST host pedals would be my best bet for simplicity and choice, but a ~10 hour battery life (assume less with wireless) in this makes it compelling for the lazy gigger like me. Just needs some sharper edges so it looks less Dad-Rock :P

Funny enough when I think of the future of the guitar, I don't think of wood at all. Different composites, carbon fibers, stuff like Richlite etc. Feature wise though, this is definitely where I go to. I wonder when someone will be brave enough to put out a completely wireless guitar with no traditional output jack at all lol.

Imagine this guitar with but (somehow), with a floyd rose and a sustainiac and coil splitting, total overkill but highly versatile!
@icantthinkofaname5549 Жыл бұрын
Not saying the guitar isn't sick but you do have to admit, that acoustic sim sounded like absolutely awful. I think the coolest part about that guitar is you could show up to a gig with literally just the guitar, hand the wireless adapter to your pa guy, and you're pretty much good to go. The guitar itself I do think sounds pretty good but I didn't particularly like any of the models. I think with some time guitars like this are totally game changers.

I honestly like the look of these, and they also seem like they would be a fun toy. But what happens when the battery or built-in electronics eventually shit the bed? Because that's what modern electronics DO. It's not exactly a budget guitar, because you're paying extra for stuff that you know will cost you to replace down the line, if it even can be easily replaced. If they offered this without the "intelligent" stuff at half the price, I'd be all over it.

Who are selling these in the US? The website lists Amazon as a distributor and provides a link but they don’t seem to carry the W800 or W900. I searched on the Googles and it sent me to Thomann’s website where they carried the W900 but when I went to checkout it said shipping was unavailable to my address in Montana. Is there an issue going on with shipping to the US for those models? Any help would be appreciated. It looks like a great guitar for what I need. Thanks.

This is another great review made on this futuristic guitar, and since you had made it so well, this guitar is now on my Wish list. Oh please Santa…make this be my Christmas gift this year.😇😇😇🤘🤘 Some inquiries though: - the wireless dongle you had shown from the screen of your phone as you connect the guitar wireless, is that an accessory that comes along with the guitar? - another, can this guitar be connected also to GTRS’s Foot Switch like the S800 model?
@GTRSGuitar2 жыл бұрын
Hi there, thank you for your interest in the GTRS guitar. The W900 comes with one wireless transmitter, so you dont need to purchase a receiver to use the wireless feature. And it can connect the GWF4 footswitch just like other GTRS series. ;)

which professional musicians play such a model? Thanks so much
@INeverWanted20102 жыл бұрын
I wasn't too impressed with their last model because it looked like a Strat, but with small changes everywhere so it didn't? It was like an uncanny valley for guitars 😂 This, on the other hand... kicks ass! They should have gone for something more original to begin with. The tonal possibilities are pretty amazing too, Mooer just keeps innovating new stuff and it's always cool.
@TaylorDanley2 жыл бұрын
I can agree with the strat comment. I think though that it made sense to start with a cheaper entry level guitar. These are higher priced, but also have fanned frets and are headless making them a bit more niche, so probably a bigger risk to make a run of these right off the bat.
@sunflowerhaze14982 жыл бұрын
I have their strat model, it's heavy. I do love the effects, but the weight keeps me from going to it. Now I got the Prime P1 pedal, that works for any guitar, so I'm not tempted by Mooer's GTRS anymore. :P Although the new colors are beautiful. BUT the biggest problem with Mooer is that they need to release the app on PC/Mac as well. I'm not old, I just don't like being stuck on my phone/small screen when there is so much to do on the app.

As much as I like the idea of this product I can't help but want Moore to just release this as an aftermarket Guitar mod rather than a whole guitar. I don't think it would ever actually make sense to do that unless they just release a pedal... Which they already have the multi effects so there's no point. I just can help but imagine the crazy ways people would integrate this into a guitar build. Like a Harley Benton 8 string w/ their multi effects built in!? That's what I would build anyway. 🤣

I don't know if it's an optical illusion but that's the least fanning I've ever seen on a "fanned fret"!
@anthonytumia2 жыл бұрын
It look like hybrid fretting maybe? It looks like everything after the 12th fret is fanned and lower frets are standard.
@cloudbloodmusic2 жыл бұрын
It is a fanned fret but it's based on a 6-string strandberg and those don't have that wide of a fan because 25.5" non-fanned is optimal enough for a standard 6-string.
