I just got my invisible deck, and im trying to learn how to set it up. This video sucks. Its 14 min long, and im 8 min in and havent learned a dam thing. This dude talks, but nothing comes out. I agree with you, im trying to see how to set up my deck, And he keeps fanning the deck, and when i try to look at his set up, he closes the dam thing, wtf. Dam, i would be happy with a quarter, for everytime he fans the cards. He is terrible. Thank God for other videos. Im glad i saw your comment, i thought it was just me, lmao. Peace and love, Glen

I used to use Testors Dullcote spray as my 'roughing' for cards back in the day. Problem for us in the non-USA is that the product was banned because of the chemicals in it. It was reintroduced into Europe in a 'safer formula' but it was never the same as the U.S. stuff.

Another use of a he SS deck would be to get the spectator to cut the deck as many times as he wants and complete the cut each time. When he stops tell him to place the top card face down on the table so that neither you nor he knows the card. Tell him to turn the deck over and slide the card face down into the middle of the upturned deck and then turn the deck back face down. You now know his card because you know what the bottom card is. When he spreads the deck so that you “both” can discover the identity of the card he will be amazed that it matches the one upturned in your ID.

A more interesting version of this is (I can't remember the name of the stack, but stacking one suit in order from A-K, and placing it on the bottom of the deck. Have your spectator select a card, put it on the top of the deck. Have your spectator do a few cuts, and then tell them to get creative and cut the deck a few more times upside-down. Have them keep cutting until one of the cards from your arranged suit is the bottom card, and then tell them to flip the deck over. You can now tell them exactly how many cards from the top their card is. (It's whatever value was the bottom card.)

Sometimes I don't even say anything about a magic trick. I asked them if they have ever taken an ESP sensory test to determine if they have some form of ESP or not. I try to make it sound as serious as possible and that it's not some trick. You could take it from there It's so funny when you hear back a few weeks later around town that so-and-so has ESP. I never mention anything about a magic trick and of course they'll think they have ESP

Good tips thank . let me add another way to make invisible deck, just in case of roughness of card gone, you can use VASELINE also to back of cards to hold and stick to gather, but you have to apply just touch enough for hold 2 cards to gather , i did it that it is work.

One mistake that SO MANY magicians do which i also see in this tutorial...! While explaining or performing card tricks, many magicians tend to do a lot of flourishes and funky hand moves with the cards. This is actually a trap because in this case, the flourishes overshadow the actual trick! First reason because the spectators' focus lies from the beginning on the magician's handling skills, something which they've never seen before! Right there he loses the public's attention from the trick itself and he orients the most of it towards his fancy hands. Secondly and most importantly, when you show a trick you must give the impression that you are a normal person who just has "superficial abilities" with cards. But when you flourish like an expert juggler then you let them assume that you have been trained for specific magic processes or most likely to assume that you have such of quick hands, able to switch things under their very eyes.
@itsuranus9479
@itsuranus9479 4 жыл бұрын
If your intention is to perform with audiences who believe you're doing actual, real magic, you're likely performing for children. No one thinks they're watching Harry Potter with cards. The flourishes actually serve the opposite purpose that you're implying. Flourishing the cards often, idly, paying no attention to them, particularly before a trick has even begun, makes it FAR less suspicious when you're doing blatant things. Every false cut, false shuffle, pass, and almost every other sleight that isn't a palm involves masking what you're doing with some kind of flourish. It's the magician's job to make that flourish look unimportant to the effect.

@@itsuranus9479 I respect your answer but you are wrong here. People that have almost no idea about card "magic", (and they are a lot ), have almost no experience of someone presenting tricks to them, then of course it can run into their minds or subconscious that you have some "strange abilities". Take for example the invisible threads, "the Twilight Angel", "The cluster", sign card to wallet etc. These are very powerful tricks for those who have absolute no experience of having such a show in front of them. For someone who has never encountered such powerful illusions, it can cross his or her mind when they watch for example their card jump from the deck or cards floating in front of them on day light. It is certain that many people from this group will assume at least in the back of their heads that you maybe have some supernatural abilities. We live in realistic times of course, but always since the older days, there is this prime instinct in people's minds to assume of some special power of a conjurer when they can not find any explanation for it. And they don't have to be children... If you read the book "The royal road to card Magic" which is considered one of the best books of card conjuring, the authors mention CLEARLY of this actual statement that i wrote before about the mistake of overdoing flourishes. I didn't speak about movements like sleight of hand, palms etc for covering the tricks that we do. Of course they have to be done and i totally AGREE that they are vital and definetely needed for illusions! What i wrote against was about extreme flourishes and joggler moves when it has to do with card magic presentations. Again as the authors had mentioned, such complex movements overshadow the core and intention of the trick leaving the clueless spectator to assume that you just have hands that are quick enough or something to perform such a thing.

@@gladiator7746 "it can cross his or her mind when they watch for example their card jump from the deck or cards floating in front of them on day light. It is certain that many people from this group will assume at least in the back of their heads that you maybe have some supernatural abilities. " This is delusional. The only people witnessing a magic performance who actually believe you have supernatural powers are either mentally unstable, or very small children. And there's absolutely nothing wrong with giving children that feeling. A general adult audience member isn't thinking "he must be a wizard." The question he's asking is "How in the world did he do that?" But the assumption is not one that inclines toward supernatural, nor is convincing people that you have supernatural powers the purpose of magic. The most famous card magicians in the world are constantly flourishing to make their actual sleights less obvious as they perform them. If you've been swing cutting idly while talking for five minutes, and you begin a routine by swing cutting, this doesn't appear unusual. This is a common and often-taught method of enhancing your patter.

Good way to hustle some money. Walk up to a mark and ask if he likes gambling. If so, give him your box of rigged cards to hold on to. ask him what his favorite playing card is. With his response, tell him that you will bet $10 (show money) that his favorite card will be the only one face down in the deck. Then if he accepts the wager, carry on with the revealing process. If he suspects anything, do a cold deck switch, and/ or even false shuffles and cuts as a bonus, which is optional.
@Imus-Kammer
@Imus-Kammer 2 жыл бұрын
A cold deck is a rigged or pre-stacked deck of cards that will be swapped in during a game such as poker where you are the dealer and in the act of scooting your seat forward, the cooler will be swapped with the original genuine deck that is or was in play. The name "cooler" refers to a deck of cards that are literally cooler to the touch because they have not been handled by hot sweaty fingers from previous players. I use coolers all the time in private games only.

Buy the 'roughing stick Harry Robson and Lawrence turner' in Ebay it may be expensive but you can make about 150 invisible decks or renew old invisible decks and it's way better than a roughing spray/ matte spray as it's unhealthy to breathe in. The roughing stick is way better and leaves no residue, inside the Tony box with the roughing stick inside it, you also get a link to them telling you how to apply it.

Kings are paired with kings. The cards need to add to 13. Why would you leave this comment if you literally have no idea how an invisible deck works. Every invisible deck makes the cards add up to 13. If the pairs added up to 14, then your 7s would be back-to back, and would make the trick impossible if your spectator selected a 7, because two of them would be on opposite sides of the deck from the other two.

@@scottm5342 Then you bought something that doesn't work. Adding to 14 defeats the purpose of the deck. One side is odds, one side is even. I've owned at least 50 ID in the last ten years. They add to thirteen because this is the only way this trick works.

@@itsuranus9479 ...but it works fine. Please consider this: www.houseofchuckles.com/data/documents/INVISIBLE-DECK-14.pdf Perhaps I misheard the way this video uses the deck, if so, I do apologize. But like I said, I bought the deck (off Amazon)...and they added to 14 as it arrived. Edited: Oh! I get you now. (One side is odd the other is even.) Yes, of course the "14" total wouldn't work for that. This particular deck wasn't set up that way. The deck that was sent to me was set up with hearts and clubs on one side, and spades and diamonds on the other.

To be honesthe did give the invisible deck away but if he didn't tell how the trick was done but simply said the effect and telling everyone it can be used at the end of every trick, lots of people would be convinced and buy it cause it could be used for every trick.
