Let me just throw in a suggestion. Suppose you don't have a double backer, just have 1 card turned over somewhere in the deck, and proceed as normal. Then, when you spread through the deck for the face down card, take it out and top change it for their card. It's a more difficult way to do it sure but if you've not got a double backer could do the job for you

Another way of doing this, is using a random face up card right at the bottom...spread thru and ask them to pick a card. While they look at it, flip the deck upside down. With the bottom card face up, they won't notice. Ask them to push the card into the middle of the somewhere. Then flip the deck over again and spread thru to show only their card face up

I have over a hundred decks collected over the years, and display them and came across this video and saw your deck, and checked out your site and I have to say that your deck is one of the nicest looking backs I've seen and art on the fronts as well! Each heart, club, etc has so much detail, it's crazy! The art is so intricate and awesome! I had to pick up a deck lol. I wish I could have got one of those black dad hats as they looked badass, but can't swing 30 bucks for a cap RN but I will soon. and I will get this trick down with the double backer first and then maybe the invisible deck. I have an idea that once you control the card to the top you buckle it and flip it over while the deck is face up in your hands and then in an action of flipping over the deck you do the herman pass so then you can actually show them that it's there card that is face up

Nice video Chandler! Let's say when we shuffle the deck and we go to show the spectator that all the cards are face down except one, the double backer is at the top next to the spectator's selection? You could just put the double backer in the middle have them think of a card while spreading cull it to the top and show them that there is one card face up then you bring it to the top and do the double lift or top change

I Discovery now better version 1. Put db card on bottom of the deck 2. Force a card in the middel but keep a break 3. Classic pass, force card is on the top and db card is in the middel of the deck 4. Show all cards but 1 is diffrent 5. Put double backer on the top and execute double lift No gimmick invisible deck created hah, anyway thank you for inspare me

It's a good trick but it's not the same effect as the Invisible Deck. With the Invisible Deck the card is thought of, not selected. The turnover effect you presented could easily be performed with no gaffs with only minimal slight-of-hand.

This is a way to achieve that SAME effect as the OG invisible deck but without the gimmick- 1. place a double backer in the middle of the deck 2. spread till the double backer (face up) without flashing it and have them think of one 3. square the deck 4. ask them to name their card 5. magic gesture 6. spread the deck face up and cull their card when u get to it 7. pick out the double backer and place it on top (above the culled card) 8. do a double lift and the effect is BRLLIANT!

i have always wanted to perform an impromptu version of the invisible deck. Not long ago I created one where I place a card facing the other way in the deck then ask them to name any card. as I spread the cards face up I cull their named card. i remove the facedown card and then do a top change with their culled card. gets amazing reactions!!! anyone have thoughts on this?
