This is a very interesting parallel to a bowing rhythm pattern found on folk fiddling in America. The feel is the same, and the bow moves in strokes "long--short--short, long--short--short, long--short--short, long--short--short". That is a beautiful instrument! Does the bridge have a removable saddle with the strings anchored simply by a knot in them on the back side of the bridge?

The Oud is nice, built very well, but it has a very different sound than what I'm used to for Ouds. This is due to the saddle bridge. Yes, you can swap out a higher or lower saddle. Thanks for watching Woody.
