Whilst we're doing that, the likes of Rishi and Starmer carry out their tasks without public opposition, making their changes to make our lives worse. As bad as the overseas bloodshed is, it serves Labour, Conservative etc well, so they can continue to make our lives miserable without noticing. We're all being played like a fiddle.

Reform and Farage lied to you about that. Torys didn't increase immigration the way Labour did. We have a SERIOUS job crisis right now in the care sector due to the pandemic and brexit and most of those immigrants are nurses etc or students. On temp visas. There were errors but this was fixed by Braverman. Labour's immigration is designed to REPLACE YOU. You're looking at the effects of Labour's immigration (those children now in their adulthood etc) and mistaking it for "tory immigration". It's not. Tory immigration other than student towns, is a few nurses here and there: it's temporary and numbers are going down now. Labour's immigration is ETHNIC REPLACEMENT immigration - and thanks to Farage and Reform that's what we're getting now. Most of the country will never touch Reform and I think you know that. To win as someone on the right you have to appeal to the centre and that is something Reform will never do.

@@scepteredisle claiming that immigration is designed to replace the ethnic majority is irrational and conspiratorial. What logical rational reason would a government intend to do this? if immigrants are so scummy, backwards and culturally different like most reformers claim, then why would a government intentionally decide to do this? when you ask this question you are left with no option to come up with some cinematic 1 dimensional villainous conspiracy.

Punishing the Tories by voting in Labour is an act of profound self-harm and masochism. Whether they’re still in power or not on 5th July, those Tory ministers people despise so much for their abject betrayal will go on living their very comfortable lives, insulated from all the policies they’ve enacted.

If, god help us!, Labour win the election, I will demand another vote, “ a people’s vote”, isn’t that what Starmer called it, when he tried his hardest to turn around the Brexit vote, he certainly didn’t respect that democratic vote at all.

Peter Hitchens' opinions are always worth listening to. He will always say things that are thought-provoking, but I would never vote for Labour or Conservative ever. I live in Belfast, we've an even more difficult problem to deal with over here. Sinn Féin or DUP? No thanks.

No answer. Yet again. Keir starmer will be a disaster for this country. This election is not a forgone conclusion. The fact that forigners who arrived recently and who should not be here, just amazes me.

on what evidence do you base your claim that Starmer will be a 'disaster'. Also, how much more of a disaster would he be than the current conservative administration, given how impossibly difficult that can be.

@@mustafjino425 Past history shows that "The Unions" are the downfall of Labour. In the late 1970's "The Unions" brought down the Labour Government and the then Labour Prime Minister James Callaghan was quoted as saying "If I was a young man I would emigrate".

This is all a game played by Labour and Conservatives and the media, and the public is invited to participate, in a very limited fashion, every 4 or 5 years. I haven't voted since MPs were found with their noses in the trough in 2008 but I'll come out of retirement for Farage even though I know that he isn't the answer. It's just my way of protesting about the current state of the country but knowing that it will get worse under Labour.

Peter, i fully agree. Starmer is very likely to be further to the left than he lets on. I detect no thread of individual thought nor courage in his stand up performances recently. So he is led by his heart and so to the left.
