I called Ariens about the clippings that blow out around the crack when you're bagging. They sent a kit to fill the crack so no more clippings can blow out.

A you tuber " garage gear" does reviews of mowers and such and said he fixed the tires locking problem by adjusting the self propel cable and it fixed it. Said he had to adjust it about 3-4 times to get it right. I'll be trying that

Ariens should send you a new one next year when they release a revised model that corrects the 1st generation issues that you have pointed out. After all, you are doing real world testing for them!!!

That would be nice. 😉 I can’t remember if I mentioned it in the video but I think it was so bad that even Lowe’s decided to stop selling that mower all together. It’s a shame because overall it’s a good mower, the deck, how it cuts in bags and the engine, but those things I mentioned in the video can really drive you crazy and for certain people it could be a big problem. I found ways to work around it but obviously I shouldn’t have to do that for a brand new machine.

I notice you also have the bungee on your front axel adjustment well mine just snapped any fix for that

I use the bungee cord to keep it from popping out of the height I want because that metal is too thin. I believe someone else commented on my videos saying there was an upgrade for that piece, so assuming you’re using yours for residential use it should still be under warranty and they should be able to replace that for you at no cost

I bought the same mower 4/28/24 and mine the same. My rear tires lock up about 75% of everytime pulling it back. Sometimes it's both tires amd sometimes its just the right or just the left. Yes very annoying. Will be calling tomorrow

If they provide a fix for the rear wheels locking up, let me know. For now I’ve been living with it but if I know they will really do something to fix it, I’ll see about taking mine in for that.
