I see you like Japanese music. On Ok Rock is one of the bands that managed to gain popularity in the West. Another unusual group is Wagakki Band. It consists of 8 musicians who are masters of their instruments. They combine western sound with traditional Japanese music and culture. It's hard to define their genre because they play songs from pop to metal in their own way of course. Check them out if you want. I especially recommend the song "Sabaku no komoriuta" from Premium Symphonic Night Vol.2. It has very emotional and poetic lyrics.
