Never really heard of them before I went to their concert but my friend told me they were coming to Dallas and we had never seen a jrock band before so we decided to go. It was amazing and I even cried at the song Hard to Love because both of my parents are gone now. The break up song Take Want You Want hit me really hard. When I separated from my ex husband after 16 years he had actually said the same thing to me. I had never heard it said by any one else. It was interesting hearing the man's view of the break up in the lyrics.

My story almost exactly the same! I discovered OOR just over a year ago (as I heard a song on TV and Shazamed it quickly). I've been following enter since and also search for new info on the band almost daily. (Btw, I also studied voice in college, so again - my experience has parallels to yours). Anyway, I'm so anxious for them to tour the states again. I only wish I had known of the band when they were in southern USA a few years ago! But regardless of where they tour next time around - I will be there!!

I think their new songs are becoming more coherent. The songs on Ambitions are usually dedicated electronic rock songs while the ones on 35xxxv tended to be mainstream post-hardcore with synthesizers and autotune pissed all over them. There are exceptions to both, but I think Ambitions and its songs tend to be more coherent than their predecessors.

I loved one ok rock because of the energy and pace of Jrock soul, each of the band member's skills, and Taka's perfect vocal abilities. But since they went west, they become so much West and I really feel like I am just listening to other usual band. Still, one of the best bands I've ever seen. Imagine them brining Jrock to west an make their jaws lock with how Jrock kills every line.
