Takaは「昔から、アルバムを出すたびに、毎回『変わった』と言われる。 でも自分達は、常に自分達がかっこいいと思う音楽をやっているだけ」と 言ってました。それは変化ではなく、できなかったことが、バンドの成長とともにできるようになっていったという進化。努力の成果です。バンドを組んだ時から目指していたのは世界だし、根本的には全くブレていません。 「洋楽っぽくなった」と言っている人もいますが、これは北米で発売される海外版のなかの一曲なのだから、日本から見たら「洋楽」で当たり前。 今後も今まで通り日本語版も発売していくということなので、日本語混じりが好きな人は国内版を、英語詞が好きな人は海外版を買えばいいのではないでしょうか。 選択肢が倍に広がったと考えれば楽しいと思います。 私は多分、どちらも好きなのでどちらも買います😋 この『Last Dance』も大好きです😊

For y'all new fans : 1. ONE OK ROCK is a Japanese rock band (2005 - present) composed of Taka (Vocal), Toru (Leader/Guitar), Ryota (Bass), and Tomo (Drum). 2. Taka is pure Japanese (not half) and he never studied abroad. His English is good because he's amazing. 3. Taka is the only vocalist of ONE OK ROCK since it was formed. Some of you may thought he's the different person because of his voice and his looks on their other MVs. He's the same person. He's amazing because his voice is versatile, it could be changed from husky to soft and vice versa. His looks could be different because of his hair style. 4. Though they're a rock band, they've some slow songs : 'Wherever You Are', 'All Mine', 'Pierce', 'Last Dance', 'Heartache', 'Good Goodbye', etc. 5. They've never made a song for anime so far, but they've made 3 songs for live action movie of Rurouni Kenshin (Samurai X). Those are 'The Beginning', 'Mighty Long Fall', and 'Heartache'. 6. They're so good live, watch their live performance at Yokohama Stadium 2014.

Am I the only one who is feeling proud for One OK Rock? They came THIS far and made THIS much improvements in such a short period of time. To even attempt a fully comprehensible English song (thanks to Taka's hard work in improving his diction) and explore a new horizon for the band is not something that just any JRock band can do. Instead of fearing that they will stray far from their original concept, I say we should laude them for their courage. IMHO, despite the language, this still feels like a OOR song to me. And a good one too.

洋楽に変わってしまったとか、もう聞かないってコメントに対して批判的な人間に言わせてくれ。 別にそうやってコメントしたっていいじゃないか、実際に正直にそう思ったんだから。思ったままの発言をすることは悪い事ではない。しかもそれはONE OK ROCKが日々進化している証なんだぜ。 世界に音楽を発信している限り、批判的な人間も何処かには現れる。老若男女、何処の国か、誰が聞いているかなんてわからない。好きか嫌いかなんて人間個人の自由だ。ましてや、今までONE OK ROCKが好きだったのにこの曲を区切りに聞かなくなるということはそれはそれでいいんだよ。邦楽好きがONE OK ROCKを聞かなくなったということは路線は海外に向かったという証拠なんだからな。 逆に洋楽好きの俺は今まであまりワンオクには興味がなかったが35xxxvを聞いてから、シングル含むワンオクの今まで出したCDを全て買うくらい好きになったぞ。 個人個人の感性に議論したって意味がない。音楽は自由なんだ。様々な意見があって当然なんだ。ONE OK ROCKは今後、その様々な人々の意見を取り入れることで更に進化できるであろう。だから批判的なコメントをつけたって気にすることはない。好きなバンドに対する批判が快くない気持ちになること分からなくはないが、売れてるバンドに批判は付き物なのだ。本当に好きな人は批判なんて気にせずに応援しようぜ。

+Phantomhive Being a "true fan" (whatever that means) does not necessarily mean that I have to like every single song a band makes. It's insulting to say that just because they decide to criticize a band's style.

shadow11218112 Oh, I am not saying a true fan enjoys every song. I am referring to the people who immediately go "ONE OK ROCK has changed, their music is not as good anymore. If they wrote all their music like (insert album or song here) then it would still be good." I personally do not like the terms like true fan or biggest fan or anything like that. I am just using it in this context to distinguish between fans who complain about all OOR's current music because of one recent song and those who, even if they don't particularly like one specific song, they accept that this is one song and they were trying something out and that doesn't mean all their songs from this point forward will suddenly deteriorate in quality or something.

Phantomhive Oh yeah, I definitely agree. I love One Ok Rock roots (Like roots I mean their actually roots when Alex was still in the band not their punk rock "roots" everyone likes to mention). My favorite album of theirs is Zeitakubyou. But when they changed to a more punk rock band I still liked it but honestly I don't like their transition to pop rock as much as that transition to punk rock. I still like most of the songs in 35xxxv (with the exception of Memories and Paper Planes) but I dislike..the sound production, Taka's voice and the instruments sound so muddy. And after reading an interview with Taka about the album it seems like it was just put together (when talking about Paper Planes, Taka didn't even sound like he liked it.)
