The vocals is a live version, I mean the performance itself. The video is a combination of two seperate concert in that specific dome. That is why the title of the video has that "live mix". It is the way of the uploader for youtube to not taking down the video. Japan is very strict when it comes to copyright, that is why some live performances of One Ok Rock that were uploaded here was taken down. I am not quite that sure but Taka in a black shirt, that concert is from their 2017 Ambition Japan Tour. While, Taka in red shirt is from their 2018 Ambition Japan Dome tour. The vocals of that video is from their 2018 Ambition Japan Dome tour where Taka wore that red shirt. It is the original version of the song. While in the black shirt, their rendition of Wherever you are is much more ballad than the original version, cuz they highlighted Taka's vocal and Tomoya's piano in the bridge part of the song..

Taka wrote this song for his friend’s wedding.. it’s really a beautiful song. Many of their songs have this emotional impact. A couple suggestions are Wasted Nights (Eye of the Storm live), One Way Ticket (ambitions live), I Was King (orchestra live), & Cry Out (Japan dome live). There’s just so many more great songs..

taka wrote the song for a friend on the band's staff who was getting married. he actually went into the studio without any concrete ideas for the song and wrote this song quite quickly after getting the aforementioned romantic inspiration. it's probably the band's most famous song because it's a very popular wedding song in japan. re: oor's love songs in general, taka's said that he doesn't use his own feelings to write them, but instead uses his imagination or draws from books and movies. i was surprised to learn this since he always seems to connect to deeply with the songs when he performs them.

It's actually 2.5 million people who were trying to attend the Eye Of the Storm Japan Tour, but there's only 300,000 tickets in total. It's CRAZY to get a ticket for the Japan Tour, luckily I got mine for Yokohama Arena back then.

I recommend Take What You Want, Ending Story, Be the Light, and Good good bye. Not too many versions to pick from 😀. Clock Strikes and The Beginning are also great on live. My current favorite is Take What You Want. There is something special in that song and you will be amazed by Taka’s performance.

.. ahaha, it is a live version ... you listened to the one Taka in red-t and w/blond hair. they, especially, Taka is that good. some fans make their own live version combining 2-3 live videos in order to avoid the copyright strikes. if you react on OOR on their official YT channel, cover or watermark the screen is recommended.

Taka’s parents were very famous Enka singers in Japan - Enka is traditional Japanese music. Taka talked about how he got a lot of flack because he grew up rich. He has a brother who also has a popular band called My First Story. Talent runs in that family.

Its live vocals its just a mix stage version.. so basically this person who made the vid took one of the live vocals from OOK concert and overlaid it with the mix stage clips.. in the studio vers there isn't so many vocal runs that Taka does in this live

Taka's family is all extremely talented. Both parents are singers, and his father is one of the best selling artists in Japan. His younger brother Hiro is the front man for a band called My First Story. There is another band you should check out! My favorite song by them is Lonely. But another high energy rock band!
