This is my little formula i've been putting together for weeknight dinners with the family recently to make super easy fajitas. It really helps to mix up what we are having as it's super flexible and also just one pan! The ingredients i've used above are literally what I wanted to use and had around the house so you don't need anywhere near as many..... plus you don't have to make your own dry rub, you may have a sachet of fajita seasoning for example. The main thing is you can grab whatever spices you have and make your own, that's the fun part!

I love to watch when you do recipes from the Americas. I've never seen the ground coriander seed in fajitas, but nothing about what you made looked bad at all. I went back and looked at your meatloaf recipe from 2011 and I could 100% serve that to my Midwest US family with zero complaints. What fun episodes and how far you've come!

Another great vid, thank you for carrying on uploading during the crisis and also with your own small oven, upside down house mini crisis too! I've been doing the Forage for years with a 90% success rate with my family of 6. As a suggestion and what I have used for the rub/seasoning is the pre mixed packets from Coleman's, Maggi, Schwartz's, sainsbury's own...etc Even used a wedges seasoning mix in some grated cheese to top a lasagne.

just made these yesterday as a hurry up dinner. Had left over steak, microwaved a bag of frozen peppers and onions, oil in a pan, dump in the thawed peppers/onions, mexican spices with corn starch, toss in the meat, serve on tortillas with cheese sour cream lemon juice and hot sauce. Delicious and less than 15 minutes.

I’m short of large mixing bowls, so to add seasoning to assorted meats and vegetables I put them in a large zip-lock bag, squeeze out some of the air , then gently roll the bag around in my hands until everything is coated. Added advantage is less washing up to do.

Barry if you are having problems opening a jar like that one, hack butter knife up under the threat pull up on the handle listen for pop, and you are done if you are gentle no damage to seal, lid, or jar. now that it is no longer over preshared easy to open. also if you no longer need the jar you can use a knife to pierce the top instead

Kitchen hack - use a cheap coffee bean grinder and it takes seconds to make fine dry spice mixes. It's really nice to be able to make a larger batch with minimal effort. Then it's as fast as making the store pre-packed stuff. Also, check the ingredient list, you probably want some yeast extract or 'flavorings' - That's MSG for everyone else, you can pick it up from amazon really cheap and it'll give your food that extra umami 'more please' flavour that you get from the pre-packed foods.

Buy adobo peppers. Blacken whole peppers on a gas burner or in the oven. Peel off blackened part. (if you put the black peppers in a plastic bag while hot, they will sluff off their skins easily), add to blender with Honduran crema. If you don't have access to crema, use sour cream and stir in some lime juice. Blend the cream and soft peppers. Add THAT to your fajitas. This is a heavenly sauce.

Hi Barry, I know you've mentioned it in a video before but I can't for the life of me remember which one it was, but what is the brand of that professional chef's knife you got in it's own box? Looking to get myself one for when I cook (the household ones are frankly, naff!) Also, when you were chopping the onions, putting them in the freezer for 10 or so minutes before chopping stops them getting in your eyes so much
