The parallels between Luffy and Loki have been pretty obvious and quickly established; such as Loki not remembering Luffy's name, something Luffy does to others all the time; the fact that they're both the "sun god" but with opposite alignments; their opinions of Shanks being completely opposite. But one I just thought about after this chapter is their connections to the 2 great trees, the Sunlight Tree Eve and the Treasure Tree Adam. Luffy was prophesied to destroy Fishman Island, the country that is directly tied to the Eve tree. Loki is prophesied to destroy, well, the whole world, but first and foremost, Elbaf, the country literally attached to the Adam tree

I’m very curious as to Loki’s connection to Shanks. Perhaps Loki is the “old friend” Shanks came to see. Obviously, in the story, Robin is cutting her hair so Saul recognizes her. But Oda has to be changing Robin's hair back b/c Lera Abova just started playing her in the live action, and he fell in love with the time skip design again. Also, Saul’s “fallen and he can’t get up”? WOOOOOWWWW! Life Alert much? My guess is a painter is a stone that allows them to create a rainbow bridge that lets them travel between the levels.

If we look at the Soul-Situation, we know that Big Mom takes bits of souls and can infuse a single piece into an object to make it sentient with a blocked/buried subconscious recollection of it's former source soul. That means all the souls taken by the Soul Human are stored/kept separate from their own instead of intermixing or being added to their own soul. It's safe to assume it's a permanent infusion like a Horcrux in Harry Potter. If Big Mom is dead, but people in Totto Land don't know for certain if she is then it is probably safe to assume the other Homies might still be milling about. People would have known without a doubt if every animated inanimate object went normal suddenly, unless either 1) It's a fruit who's effects transcend user-death like Boa Hancock's -OR- 2) Big Mom ain't dead, so Kaido probably ain't dead, they're makin a fire elemental baby(SURTR?!) down in the core of the planet. I personally believe option 1 which would also mean Mother Caramel's Homies are vibing too.

tbh I really like robin's pre-timeskip haircut but, maybe because her eyes are bigger post timeskip (?) or maybe just because I became so used to her post timeskip hairstyle, something feels off with it to me... I do really like that scene thought because it shows the other part of Robin that is there but rarely explored. Aside from Usopp, Luffy and Chopper, Robin feels like the most childlike character when she gets emotional. We saw it with Ryunosuke on Zou, the 'I want to live' scene and now when she discovered Saul was alive. Probably because she never had a parental figure to teach her how to grow after ohara (yes the other straw hats lost parents/parental figures but they still had many adults around to learn from) she taught herself how to be an adult while running from place to place and so when the logical part of her (the part she could feasibly learn by herself) starts to crack, her childlike emotional side which probably had less chance to grow and was more just pushed down starts to show. And that's why she resorts to the childlike/innocent thought of "oh I've gotten much bigger now, what if he doesn't recognise/remember me? I should cut my hair to look exactly like I did 20 odd years ago so he can", instead of believing that Saul will be able to recognise her no matter how much she's grown.

I love the "coward pirate shanks" exchange for so many reasons, one being something you didn't even mention is that it really displays luffy's ability to gauge someone's strength off of "vibes" (or maybe just haki) alone. Luffy isn't totally reckless, he's aware of his own strength and is fully capable of holding back if he needs to. If some random drunk asshole started shit talking shanks he isn't kong gunning him, he's not trying to turn someone into a fine red mist like that. He knows full well loki is a big deal and probably instantly gauged that on sight. It isn't just because he's a giant either, it's not even like the average giant is handling a kong gun any better than an average human, and the fact he wasted zero time going gear 4th is really telling of the fact that luffy already understands and respects loki's strength and still couldn't care less to treat him any differently because of it, it's yet another "emperor" moment from him just the same as him releasing lucci and kaku because he understands just how little of a threat he poses to him and even more than that, understands lucci knows that.

I think we're getting a little ahead of ourselves here berating Lokis bounty. As we know bounties are not power levels (though they often calculate strength heavily). They also cover influence and whos backing that person. The yonko have massive bounties not just because of their strength, but because of the people who follow them as well, the more noteoious and strong crewmembers they have the more fearsome their reputation, as well as territories controlled. Kid and Law get 3 billion bevause the govenrment views the defeat of big mom, one of the yonko, as being their action, in collaboration with luffy, as they forged and alliance to take down Big Mom and Kaido, two yonkos. Dorry and Broggy, dual captains of the most notorious crew of giants, who just (as far as the world knows) got done helping a yonko assassinate vegapunk and wrecked a buster call (plus whatever stuff they did 100 years ago) have 1.8 billion bounties each. For Loki, a guy whose on his own, to have a two point six BILLION bounty...that is INSANE

You know what, it just kicked in. Okay it might have taken Zoro to infuse his Conqueror's Haki to get Kaido's attention, before that it was Enma. But If Loki is that guy, he'd know Luffy is strong. Also I don't think Loki is evil, nor is he good either. One Piece big bad usually isn't this goofy, but usually twisted in their own goal and they have controls over the island to a certain extent with innocent people at risk. Him saying he'll destroy the world is still eh, considering he sounds like someone who could fit right into the crew. Of course he's not gonna join being that huge, but you know. My money is actually on Loki beeing freed by Kidd. After all, what do the giants do with humans they want gone? They throw them into the underworld. And Kidd...Kidd has no reason not to free Loki. He'd take Loki's offer to wipe out a pirate crew. He'd release Loki to watch the world burn. He'd release Loki just to spite Shanks. He's at a low enough point in his life that even if he smells Loki's bullshit, he just won't care.

couple neat things I saw in another video. Most of Loki's animal friends actually appeared in the film Strong World! Might be an implication that Shiki visited Elbaf once upon a time. And the sunstone thing the giants mentioned was apparently an old navigation tool vikings would use to locate the sun in cloudy weather, keeping with the norse theme.

about Loki bounty i think is something similar to what happen to Dorry and Brogy, your bounty depends a lot of your acts, luffy´s keep incresing because he keep doing stuff that bother the World Goverment. but Loki has been stuck in that three for 6 years, and even if he is out i imagine he is more of a problem to elbaf itself that the rest of the world, at least for the moment. again all depends of what that "special bounty" means, probably is a bounty only for Elbaf, and like the stars from the cruss guilt if you make a convertion the number increase a lot.

I think you're underestimating how impressive Loki's bounty is. It's 2.6 billion for 1 dude who's already chained up on a remote island barely anyone knows about. Compare that to 3 billion for a Yonko leading an entire Yonko crew and Grand fleet, and it makes Loki's individual strength look way more impressive.

Looking back at the Big Mom flashback on Elbaf, it's very possible that the Giant village was on the lower level. There are a few shots with icy mountains to the sides and ALL of the lower level probably isn't covered in ice.
