They didn't nerf it. This Monster Point is a Controlled Monster Point. His fiercest is Raging Monster Point which he used against Queen, slamming them in their dino form THREE TIMES.

I miss Pre-timeskip Monster Point. That shit was intimidating and menacing, and a force of nature. You saw that thing and knew shit was going down. Then they gave it pupils.

Nah, seriously, post-timeskip Chopper is hella underrated. I understand that pre-timeskip Chopper was better (even though his design, just like Nami's, downgraded already by the time of Enies Lobby) and Kung Fu Point sucks, but it doesn't justify such hate towards post-timeskip Monster. He still gets badass moments. Did everyone seriously skipped over WCI or forgot about him stopping Big Mom blade and declaring his intent to drown her alonside himself? Also as iconic, badass and epic MP introduction was, MP by itself sucked ass. It was useless in Ennies Lobby beyond beating Kumadori and it was a complete joke in Sabaody. Chopper keeping his mind and not reverting to pure animal is straightforward upgrade.

This counterpoint only works from a utilitarian standpoint, where every trait of the characters is evaluated solely on how useful it is as a weapon or tool. I'm sorry but pre-timeskip MP is just leagues more narratively interesting: a trumpcard for desperate situations that was also a double-edged sword, any situation immediately more chaotic and unpredictable and difficult to manage as soon as it's introduced into the mix. Power in exchange for control. The whole mood is even changed by it - he may have got bodied quickly in Saboady but it did the job of instilling that feeling of "Oh hell things are really falling apart and going from bad to worse." There's so much that could have been done with that, and it's sad we only got to see three instances of it (remembering Punk Hazard). Post-timeskip is just a power-up. There's no shortage of those.

People whine and moan about Chopper's Monster Point not being like it was pre-timeskip, yet sometimes forget that when he was in Monster Point during pre-timeskip he was an out-of-control beast that indiscriminately destroys everything in its path, be it friend and foe, plus during that form, it slowly pushed Chopper past the brink of exhaustion and can possibly kill him if Franky didn't stopped him. Sure, people love pre-timeskip Monster Point, but can you still love it if the user almost dies while its body is pushed past its limit during its rampage?

What a serious downgrade. The original Monster Point was such a scary moment in One Piece during the Pre-Timeskip Era. But in the Post Timeskip Era, Chopper's Monster Point has become Professor Hulk from the MCU.

Worst mistake of Oda for Chopper. He completely ruins the character. Chopper is 0 post-time skip. Completely useless and boring and his kung-fu form is very annoying imo. His monster form is boring too. I remember the 1st time he used it, i was so hyped !! And where is his arm point ? He NEVER used it post-time skip.
