One Piece D&D by Rustage: Epilogue

I apologize in advance, as this will be long, and probably cheesy rant "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened". These words could not be more accurate than they are now for me. One Piece D&D is what got me into D&D itself, and some of my closest friends I've made in recent years, were made through D&D. This adventure waa an absolute blast, filled with tons of emotional and comical moments. Everyone's endings felt perfect. Verona *finally* getting together with Lyssa was some 40 episodes in the making, and was something I was waiting to see. As tragic as his backstory was, meeting the crew and Lyssa, he's finally understanding what it's like to love and to be loved once again. Duros' goodbye was heartbreaking, but it felt right. Even addressing that he was never a good pirate, but believed he was at least a good friend. He's guided this crew as a moral compass, protected everyone to the best of his abilities, and put everyone else's needs above his. A true gentleman. William disbanding the crew was quite a shock, but again, it felt right. But a goodbye doesn't have to be forever. All of our various NPCs of the crew were absolute joys to watch grow. Pearl and Cyril, although not my favorite ship (Verona and Lyssa), turned out to be such a wholesome couple. Gravy, finally able to make tons of people smile with his cooking. Trevor and Jasper was quite the shock as well, but a welcome one at that, and seeing Trevor actually happy for once was nice. The new 8 Flames opening an orphanage was wholesome. Jimmy, the absolute king, passing on the story of the legendary Devil's Luck Pirates was fantastic. Now, as the only member of the crew who didn't receive a happy ending, Ragnar's ending still feels right to me. It would of felt kind of cheap if he magically got over his addiction, and although I would have loved a happy ending for our Big Bear Chad, this feels fitting and I'm glad Briggs wrote it that way. So all in all, I have to say, Thank you to Rustage and the Devil's Luck Pirates for this heartfelt journey. As for now boys: Let's hold up our flagons, and raise up the sails, as we head for a new adventure in One Piece D&D Marines!

I really enjoyed the endings of the DLP. William along with his adoptive daughter and father work alongside Revolutionaries. Duros becomes Emperor of a Planet with his wife Luna as well as have a lovely goodbye to his friends. Verona decides to figure out what love is with Lyssa. Probably both now making cool technology. Pearl and Cyril tied the knot and have a son (I’m 95% sure). And with a Dragon, a Water Logia as well as Jasper’s BF/husband Trevor hanging around as well, Tarako is probably the safest Kingdom in the South Blue. Gravy has an amazing restaurant chain now and beloved by all who know of him and his cooking skills. I imagine Little Ricky handles the business/financial side. And though tragic, I am happy with direction Ragnar is taking as the possible new Big Bad. He seems to have a new drug formula and a new crew as well. I hope he is more benevolent than BB is at least and keep the drugs away from his new crew.

Yeah I see him being a Yonko. I'm really curious which characters will come back. Olthe obvious ones are the boys but I think it'd be cool if they were legends that the marines had to seek out to try to stop Ragnar. A bunch of side characters wlcould be stronger or have a lot of influence like Pearl and Jimmy which would be awesome to see. Even characters like Magnus and Molly (Atom's sister) would be old enough to be help. All the different possibilities gets me really hyped!

@@harlster3373 Possibly, the Revolutionaries didn't play much of a role in OP DnD so i'd like to think they'd have a bigger role in Marines, especially with William potentially being a revolutionary proper by the time of Marines (Which is 5 years after OP DnD and I think 15 years before Luffy sets off on his journey)
