Totally understandable you dont recall the name - it was mentioned only once back in East Blue lol. Yosaku was explaining to Sanji and Luffy about who Arlong was and Jimbei was brought up. Consider the amount of years between that chapter/episode and this part now... Oda is insane :D

@@IntoTheVoidAnime Arguably those are "anime canon". The basic outlines of them are from the manga, but they were only the title panels or a page or two of the chapters, so there wasn't much story. The anime fleshed them out into full side stories, and honestly I like it better that way, because the rest of the crew deserved more time in the manga about their own two years of adventures.

@@IntoTheVoidAnime Its probably cause the crew parts are cover stories, they are just the front page of the chapters just fleshed out a bit more to make the run time for a full episode

@@IntoTheVoidAnime Those aren't filler either, they are cover stories that were incorporated into the anime. Filler doesn't just mean filler eps, filler can also be drawn out fight scenes and random happenings in a canon episode.

33:29 Jimbei is mentioned by name all the way back in episode 31, at the very start of Arlong park, when the idea of the warlords is introduced. They mention he is a fishman with ties to Arlong.

Actually, Jinbe is mentioned in the East Blue saga of the anime by Yosaku (one of the two bounty hunters that idolize Zoro and happen to stick around up to Arlong Park).

The animation changed here and man the movements and looks on Boa Hancock during her talk with Luffy is stellar.....damn also the outfits are quite nice.....good on you Oda-San! Well thats the end of Amazon Lily, the arc that renewed my love for OP ans the first Manga Volume i ever bought!

I just want to clarify we’ve only seen the bad marines because were following the straw hats journey in terms of globally pirates are way worst than the marines the marines and the world government are two different factions the only thing is that the government has power and reigns over the marines but they’re not actively involved in upholding justice the straw hats are good but they’re the minority when it comes to having quote on quote “good pirates” and i don’t even think the straw hats are really good but yea garp choose the sides who are generally morally better than any other side
