Sanji learned to fight from Zeff. He was called “Red Leg” because his boots were covered in the blood of his enemies. He was also a fighter that used kicks.

The guy teased at the end, the one with the gray hair and two cigars, was wearing a Marine uniform. Also, the subtitles identified the accompanying music as a "military march". Therefore no, it wasn't Higuma, nor a pirate. He's a Marine. I can't tell you more than that.

Small thing the manga/anime did cover that this did sadly miss: Arlong really does keep his promises, it’s a thing for him, Nami always saw this which is why she kept hope. But it’s the LETTER of his promise. If Nami gave him the money he had to let her go. And that’s why he let Nezumi take it instead. If his men took it that counts as him getting it, but if the money never gets to him… It is telling that he (correctly) believes Nami is more valuable than all the Berri.

Amazing reaction. In the anime at the end of every arc they do the same thing the LA did here and check in on various people the crew met in the past as they find out about what the Strawhats have been doing. It's so great and one of my favorite parts of the series. And if you love how emotional this gets you, you'll love the anime even more. Everything that you saw here was spread out over around 50 episodes in the anime. They take more time working on all of it and it shows. The emotional high points all hit 3x harder than they do here. Hopefully you react to the anime next. 28:50 ...you and the rest of the fandom.

9:02 this moment just feels a little different with what it was on the anime. At this point Usopp originally really wanted to run away, but after his deception succeeded and the fishman started returning back to arlong park, Usopp conducts an internal monologue with himself, where he is first glad that he was saved but then realizes that he didn't exactly help his team...And when after doubts...he finally overcomes his fear and gets up to defeat his opponent by all means. In the live action it happens so fast that it seems like Usopp is luring the enemy and not actually running away from him In the anime this character actually very anxious and has a lot of worries.In adaptation version he seems more self confident then the original

I would like you to watch the anime, maybe at least up to ep 47 which the live action covers, but I understand if you're really busy. Not everyone has time to binge a lot of episodes of the anime (it's still worth it for people who like to watch long series). You could also try the manga if you prefer reading--it's faster reading one piece---and then you can just post reviews on it. If you can watch the anime in your own time please upload a discussion/review video per 'arc' or 'saga', which are like seasons of the series, that way you can still do reactions on it and we can still watch that ;DDD I really would love to watch that!

Taj: They're gonna end up together! The "they" in question: An ace man and a woman we're fairly certain is gay. Luffy can survive impact damage because his a rubber man. The pun that went through my mind, just then. 😭 There will be a backstory that gives you a better look into Arlong, but that several seasons down the road. He's a hotep, girl. That's what you need to know for now. Taj: just date! Zoro's English voice actor actually ships him and Sanji, so that's fun. Half of this community is autistic and has adhd. You aren't annoying anyone of importance. Don't feel bad. You'll be seeing the antagonist you just saw in the next episode. You'll be in a familiar place, the town of beginnings and endings. In the anime, during Arlong Park, the Straw Hats say a lot of racist things. Because most people don't understand what they are getting into, they cheer them on. The world building makes them regret that upon rewatch. I can't say how without spoiling you, but the Fishmen are an African American allegory. Luffy is the only one that says something racist on his crew in the live action, and it's just because he doesn't know any better. "I will destroy everything you built." What do you know about our history, girl? That said, it doesn't take a rewatch for the live action. They were very on the nose. ...heh. Next season will give us a few emotional beats, show the dangers of disinformation campaigns, and even promote medicair for all. Isn't that neat? We also meet DAH GOAT!!!! I hope you enjoyed this season, I do hope you'll give the anime remake a chance when in comes to Netflix. ❤

What did Luffy or the crew say that was racist? "Medicair for all", Cherry Blosoms? He's not a Goat he's a Reindeer! Good reaction hope to see you react when season 2 comes out. Think about Zorro and Sanji like your two older brothers who are always fighting and talking smack to each other. However, when things get real, they have each other’s backs and the backs of the other family members(crew). That’s the best way I can describe their relationship. About the Grand Line. The map they have is just a map TO the Grand Line. It’s not a map OF the Grand Line. It’s an important distinction. The Grand Line is no joke. The things in there are why you can’t have a half assed crew sailing those waters. The Straw Hats will have their work cut out for them but that’s part of the adventure. Lastly, and I don’t know why they did this in episode one and for the live action. The Netflix live action of One Piece marked the death of Gold Roger as the beginning of the Great Pirate Era. Technically that’s not accurate. In the manga and anime, Roger’s death and the next scramble for the One piece was the Second Great Pirate Era. The First Great Pirate Era was actually when Roger was alive and sailing the Grand Line in search of the One Piece. Garp, amongst others, are from this same era as Roger hence why Garp is strong.

everyone uss comic physical violenc agains everyone else in the original. it's a manga thing. what garp does to luffy is nothing extraordinary really. all characters heal after a night or two of sleep no matter from what - thats another manga thing. and even among them luffy is known to be tough garp is a vice-admiral that, as he himself said, was put to promotion multiple times. vice-admiral is the 4th highest rank in the marines and garp is much more powerful than an average vice-admiral (combat strenght is the biggest factor for promotion). he said he could be a fleet admiral (the 2nd rank in the marines) what is probably true, especially when he was in his prime. that would mean at the time he was considered the second strongest marive of all of them. he's just that strong. even now among all the characters in the series garp may easily be in around 15th-20th place in strenght on the planet despite not having a devil fruit and being in his 70s. easy place in the top 10 on the planet 30ish years ago zoro and sanji bicker all the time usopp beat one of the 2 best arlong's fighters that was a shooter. that's not a small deal. the original material contains explanation why he pretended to be dead. it was excluded from the la because inteernal monologues do not look best in the la I guess the straw hats can't collect bounties because they are pirates themsleves. they would be caught too

Um, wdym fleet admiral is 2nd? It's the highest rank in the marines. If you're referring to Kong, his rank as commander-in-chief is not a position in the Marines. It's solely a World Government position.

Garp is so strong because training has no upper limit in One Piece and can scale infinitely. (Same reason Kuro is so fast and Mihawk is so skilled at swordfight) Yes, Usopp just announcing his presence to Choo seems a bit jarring here. In the anime first Usopp just lies there and tries to figure out what to tell the rest of the crew - basically lies. But then has a realization when he remembers Zoro and Sanji taking a strong stance to fight, and he genuinely feels that if he abandons his friends instead of giving his best at fighting, he doesn't even deserves to be on the same ship. So he challenges Choo (and is nearly killed for it becasuse Choo doesn't just stays there while he prepares his shot...) The manga/anime has a very different dynamic for Nami/Nojiko/Coco Village, but can't tell about it without giving major spoilers. Both Nojiko and Gen are much better developed characters there, but obviously the first season covers around 47 episodes, so can't really go that much into details.
