I gotta admit. I immediately took a screenshot of that and then proceeded to attach the definition of the Pokemon Ability "Guts" which increases attack power when inflicted with a status condition, like burn for example, and then send it to my friend. Got a good laugh out of it.

I think one of my favorite moments in One Piece, definately in Wano, is when we see the flashback of Oden annoyed that none of his retainers want be taught in his Two Sword Style and then Toki explains that they promised each other they wouldn't so they wouldn't get obsessed with who is Oden's best student And then it cuts to the present with all of them in perfect, flawless Oden Two Sword Style Poses because every single one of them broke the promise and studied Oden's way of the blade, knowing the others would too

kaido ate the fish fish fruit model Seiryu. there's an ancient chinese legend about thousands of koi fish swimming up a waterfall but after 1000 years when they've all given up one lone determined fish finally makes it to the top and the gods reward it by turning it into a dragon/ the name seiryu also comes from chinese mythology where its known as the blue/azure Dragon and is one of the 4 guardian deities of china, the other 3 being Byakko the white tiger, Suzaku the red phoenix and Genbu the black turtle

I just wanted to tell you about my favourite callback in all of One Piece, all the way back to chapter 1. When Higuma (the mountain bandit) entered Makino's pub he destroyed the doors but they were mysteriously fixed in a later panel. Oda explained in an SBS that the village's carpenter fixed it "offscreen" and drew a little sketch of him. Frankie's carpenter boss in Wano looks pretty much identical and is confirmed by Oda to be a relative as they're both called Minatomo (Family name).

so explaining the Fish Fish Fruit (Uo Uo no Mi), you see, all of the dinosaur zoan fruits have the name Ryu Ryu no Mi, this has been misstranslated as Dragon Dragon Fruit, but its actually Dino Dino Fruit in an interview when Kaidos Fruit was revealed, the Mythical Fish Fish Fruit Model Seiryu (The Azure Dragon of the East and part of the 4 Sacred Beasts... which means Susaku the Vermillion Bird, Byakko the White Tiger and Genbu the Black Tortoise should also exists... maybe even Oryu the Emperor), he explained that Ryu has 2 meanings in Japanese, the first the most common known one, Dragon, and the second, the less common known one, Dinosaur, so yeah, both Dragon and Dinosaur are written and said in the exact same way So because Oda decided to use the Ryu as Dinosaur, he now needed to put the Dragons in other Fruits, and thus he goes to the myths to find inspirations to where to put them This is a list of possible Fruits I think are possible for Dragons as an example Hebi Hebi no Mi (Serpent) Model Tiamat Uo Uo no Mi (Fish) Model Leviathan Tori Tori no Mi (Bird) Model Quetzalcoatl Sara Sara no Mi (Salamander) Model Nidhogg as I see, those 4 are the most likely candidates for Dragon Fruits, Tori being the less likely one since as far as I know, only Quetzalcoatl and Kukulcan are known as the Fethered Serpents, but besides that, most asian ones would most likely be Hebi, with Ouroboros being another one of them, the more aquatic ones, or that have relationship with water itself would be Uo and most Eastern type dragons would be Sara

The government/Vegapunk had Kaido's DNA because Kaido was captured a lot of times. Also, it was never said that Kanjuro drew the dynamite too, he could just draw Oden and put ''real'' dynamite on him. But even if he draws the dynamite is not big deal since that was used before when he draw the salad and eat it.

Unfortunately inconsistencies (like with Prometheus) happen far too often in the anime. The most egregious example being in Fishman Island when child Hordy gets attacked by humans, which completely undermines the whole theme of baseless hatred. I was an anime defender until I starting reading the manga.

Oda understands how boss fights work. If you're facing 2 boss monsters at once you have to focus on one boss at a time. If you try to split the damage between bosses, you'll never beat either of them.

I love that Kaido is an idiot. I truly enjoy that about him. The people he compares himself to - Roger, Oden, Whitebeard - none of them set out to die. They just all had something they believed in strongly enough that they were okay with dying for it. Kaido doesn't believe in shit. He wants to give his life meaning and he thinks a glorious death is going to do it, but he's got it backwards. Their deaths were glorious because their lives were meaningful, not the other way around.

@@ShutUpDenny its again something that is seen in an SBS from the manga, like many other things not shown or explained in the anime, Kanjuro said something like he can make phisical objects ind Oda clarified in an SBS that he can draw events, like fire, but not reactions like explosions, cause that happend inside the dynamite, and he cant draw the inside of a dynamite, only the outside, same with guns, he can draw a gun, but it cant fire bullets, cause there is no firing hammer, and even if he draws bullets, he still needs to get actual gunpowder for it to explode

@@ShutUpDenny SBS are really cool, at the end of each volume Oda picks some questions the fandom asked, even old ones as he has admited didnt notice or could present them before, and gives some answears, they are half and half, half jokes, pervy ones too, and half serious answears like that He also uses it to reveal dome info, for example the reason Kids DF hadnt been revealed for such a long time, its cause he literally forgot he handt, he was sure he had already revealed it There are also other interviews he does in magazines, like the one where the mini novel of Zoros timeskip training is being written, where some extra info is revealed, like the Ryu Ryu no Mi not being the Dragon Dragon Fruit, but the Saur Saur Fruit, and hence why Seiryu the Azure Dragon was moved to the Uo Uo no Mi, the Fish Fish Fruit along the other Dragon fruits being in other animals fruits

the anime is painfull to watch rn, the plot isn't moving at all, they adapt like 2 pages of the manga per episode, and fill screen time with longer swings, still frames or flashbacks of stuff that happened on the same episode 5 minutes before, probably going to switch to the manga aswell
