Why can't they just give us an open world experience similar to Windwaker where we actually get to create our own character with his/her own devil fruit power, and we get to join Luffy's crew. We want to go on a grand adventure with many islands and places to explore, some of them familiar, some new. I want to get to fight epic bosses who are the devil fruit users and the navy government. I want to take part in difficult choices that have some level of impact on the story. I want to see my own character get to know Luffy and the crew and create special bonds with them. That would be the kind of One Piece adventure I would die to see. I know it is a giant project to undertake, but seeing how lazy these developers are with a single island... there's no excuse.

1. You can upgrade collection speed 2. You cant just mash the same button, the game mode must be beginner 😔 3. There is only ONE REQUIRED collection mission to beat the game 4. There’s a swing move. Making more traversal moves. 5. The world is DESIGNED ONLY FOR LUFFY. As zoro, how would you swing through trees? As chopper, how would you fight smoker, a logia? Bandai cant just implement things because people want them to. Games take **time** 6. You didn’t even mention the gear 4 transformation and the new combat that comes with it. Tbh I still really enjoyed the game, I mean yea it can be a little repetitive and a little sluggish sometimes, but I still had a blast playing this. I've already beaten the game and now I'm just finishing up on side missions. I really like how powerful I had become using my skill points

Eh, I think your problem is you went into it expecting some 10/10 open world game and you should have lowered your expectations. Some other review sites are giving the game 7/10 and 8/10. Honestly IGN is the only reviewer I've seen give it such a low score. I mean, you can rate it how you want but I'm still planning to buy it and experience it for myself. I'll have to see if it really is a 4.8/10 game, though I was expecting at least a 7/10 game at best. Repetitive combat and fetch quests are common in beat-em up RPG games so I'm use to that and it doesn't really bother me. The entire basis of your review is "Poor combat, poor movement system, and the fact that only Luffy is playable." Which I all think are fair criticism, but than again, I think you went into the game with high hopes and expectations. I haven't played it yet so I can't comment on what the game's score should be, but I also doubt I'll be giving it a 4.8 since that seems very low, unless it's really just as bad as you made it out to be.

Because Jump Force's main selling point wasn't the story mode or some grand open world, it did what it needed to be and that's be a crossover game with a better battle system then J stars and it accomplished that, even though there are a lot of broken things in the game like Cac's and stuff, but I still enjoy it. One piece world seeker just looks boring and repetitive like the review said.

I feel like One Piece as a medium, can only work as an anime/manga. Not saying that it’s impossible, I believe that at the hands of an amazing developer, it could work wonders. Maybe some sort of open-world , story driven action/hack-and-slash game with RPG mechanics and multiple playable characters would work. This ones yet another example of a great idea but terrible execution .

As someone who ACTUALLY bought the game, I can say it's not as bad as almost every review is making it out to be. I won't lie, there is a lot of repetition and waiting for chests to open... but looking beyond that it's actually a pretty fun game, especially on very hard difficulty. Very hard actually makes you think out and plan your actions instead of mindlessly attacking like on easy or normal. There is potential in this game, it's just too bad that it's covered by so many overused video game traditions that just only hurt the game

Tbf although the chest take ages to open, one of the skill upgrades is to speed up Chest openings! Maybe they did it on purpose? If you're a OP fan, you'll find the game fun, not sure much if you're not.

@@Artimes. Yeah, there's 2 upgrades, so whilst it takes like 7 secs or so to open a chest normally, once fully upgraded, i'd imagine it will be a few seconds. The game was designed that way for some reason ha so that's why i thought it was a bit harsh to go for that if it was designed that way!

We need a one piece game (single or multiplayer) where you get to sail the seas, create your own character. Hunt for a devil fruit, recruit a crew and stuff. It would be easier to do single player. The only thing I can say about this game to people complaining about not being able to sail is have you watched one piece? There are like no battles on the sea and not much time sailing. The majority of the anime and manga takes place on islands.
