This recipe couldn’t have come at a better time! I have a bbq to attend and there will be vegans and vegetarians as well as meatatarians. Going to make a huge pot of this for everyone😍 So I ended up making this for a reception. My husband said it didn’t taste like the real stroganoff but it was damn good and he’s a meatatarian. Everyone was going for the dish and finally someone stole the rest of it😅 I can honestly say this dish is a hit and I can’t thank you enough for going through the trouble of making sure us foodies are always hot for it. Thank you thank you thank you!❤

@@Somethinghumbleeverything in life and in this world is tested on someone or something. It is something we will Never be able to outrun due to those the run our world/government. Verbally being passive aggressive won’t help due to this very reason. None of us that want to eat clean, want to hurt animals, however, of we are to get there, it will be with products that don’t have animal in it and yes more than likely animals Were used to check its safety. Same With medicines, vaccines, leather seats on cars etc. I can go on forever. No one is free of this burden. So please be thoughtful before you say anything to those you do and don’t know. We are all trying our best and it sometimes starts in a simple places like KZbin with someone(s) that want to help. We are not perfect.

Since I've not eaten meat for 15 years, I can't stand the taste of animal meats, so Impossible meat derivatives just don't appeal to me at all. That said, HOWEVER, I'm grateful they've come up with something for those who are new to going plant based and feel like their meals are lacking without the taste of animal meats. I won't make this recipe with the faux meat, but I can definitely see myself using more mushrooms. Thanks as always for your creative recipes, Lauren.

If you like sweet gherkins, you could add those for additional texture and flavor. I had stroganoff in Europe and it actually had a TON of tiny sweet gherkins instead of noodles. It was surprisingly good! I bet it would also be good with the noodles instead of them.

Why square cuts of Impossible? I'd have thought round. Does round not cook well? The squares look a bit "uncooked" for beef, i.e. undercooked? But? OMG, I love Stroganoff.

People get into veganism for many reasons. Health reasons, love of animals or both. So... if someone loves what they eat, but don't want it to be animal flesh, this can be seen as a win win. Especially in the beginning of the dietary transition to veganism/vegetarianism. Everyone walks the path differently, but I see no issue with this and it helps more people finally make the switch.
