we dry our own tomatoes that we grow, you could use store bought. we used cherry tomatoes, cut them in half, put them on parchment lined tray cut side up , oven at 125 deg for a few hours, as long as it takes, you need to check on them. i love them way more than the oil ones and they will be similiar to the ones you get in the bag. I store mine in the freezer so they will last longer.

Cajun here..browning the meat and sausage adds so much depth. Also, browning the sausage allows for some of the fat to be rendered before ending up in the dish. I brown my roast before putting it in the crockpot because it tastes so much better. I so appreciate you saying Cajun doesn’t mean spicy. So true. We just like flavor in our food.

These all look delicious. I keep Cajun seasoning on hand because I use it in so many different things. I especially love it in fried okra and green tomatoes. Also, I made your brownies today and I think the almond extract makes all the difference. Love them!

Hi Amber. I love your video ideas. you make it seem so easy for anyone to make. I was just curious what is your favorite pasta dish you like making the most? I am a huge pasta fan myself. what pasta I love making the most is italian sausage spaghetti with shredded cheddar cheese, classico tomato basil sauce, diced tomatoes, lots of different spices but not spicy in any way.
@FeedingtheByrds Жыл бұрын
Yum!! That sounds delicious. We love a good Cajun pasta personally. We live Cajun flavors.

I love your ideas and you have a great channel. I use many of your ideas. I’m new to the channel and enjoy it very much. Did you know, adding tomato and vinegar to a cast iron pan is really hard o. Your pan??
@FeedingtheByrds Жыл бұрын
I didn't. But honestly, I've had this pan for about 15 years now and I also don't season it or take care of it the way you are supposed to 😬😬 I can't do it. I cant not wash it all the way. I even use soap! I know know. You aren't supposed to.

Hi, I'm a Subscriber. Love your Video's!! I finally bit the bullet and ordered the cheese shredder like the one you always use, after having it in my Amazon cart for a few months. I got it yesterday, so I haven't used it yet. I have a couple of questions. Can you shred up extra cheese and put it in a container with a lid, so I can have it on hand, and is the shredder hard to clean?? hard to clean?
@FeedingtheByrds Жыл бұрын
Absolutely!! I always shred enough for at least the whole week and then I throw it in the dishwasher to clean
