@Flo • I love ❤ the way you explain why you do what you do, e.g., meatballs on the bottom, "pick up sticks" spaghetti, sauce on top to prevent burning, water down side to pressurize, frozen meatballs OK but will take longer to pressurize yet cook time remains the same based on 1/2 of spaghetti stove-top cook time. Almost all KZbinrs recommend spices and ingredients to taste but you are the only one I've found that empowers us with complete information. Thanks so much for sharing your expertise. 👍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I made this recipe two weeks ago for my family and they like it enough to bring home the ingredients & ask me to make it again today. I like to add Italian sausage with the meatballs. I pre-cook the meatballs and sausage in the oven and put them in the bottom of the pot just like you. I also use a 28 oz can of crushed tomatoes along with a jar of pre-made sauce with lots of spices and grated Parmigiano Reggiano cheese. Today I used two 28 oz cans crushed tomatoes because my son didn't realize I used a jar of sauce the first time. But that's okay hence two cans of crushed tomatoes and a lot more spices. Thanks Flo & Dude for another great way meal!

Mmmmmmmmmmmmm! Tip for the Dude - you're the heat king. When I make spaghetti with meat sauce or meatballs, for serving, I sprinkle with parmesan (like Flo), but for a little kick, I always sprinkle with some chili pepper flakes. 😊😋😋

I could see me making this. I have a question, have you ever done this with frozen meatballs? For all the time it takes an Instant Pot to get up to pressure, the only benefit I see in using it is if you can cook the spaghetti AND thaw and warm the meatballs in four minutes. Plus the 15-25 minutes it takes a pressure cooker to get up to speed. Thanks

I need to wait to plan my Sunday meal, now I want spaghetti and meatballs. Quick tip - you can put the cheese in the food processor and grate in seconds, for those that can’t be bothered to hand grate.
@donnastratton83973 жыл бұрын
Tina I can't be bothered to hand grate cheese either, it kills my hand. I had a food processor that would grate cheese okay but I got rid of it because of a design flaw. Now I use the attachment on my Kitchenaid mixer to grate cheese.
@tinasmith99983 жыл бұрын
@@donnastratton8397 I was just watching someone use that. Unfortunately the reason I was watching was because my Dough hook is stuck on my KitchenAid and will not come off I was looking for solutions. If I can get it fixed I will definitely look for that attachment.

I am one of those people who felt physical pain when you broke the Spaghetti in half, HOWEVER, I was intrigued by not having to submerge in the liquid at the bottom and the results looks so good. SO I am wondering if a couple of Nests of Noodles would work in the same way. I can see that simply substituting Penne for example would be OK. Your Meatballs were already cooked, I think you said so the timing is simply for the Pasta. Is that correct. Thank you.

I enjoyed your Thai curry recipe. The "secret weapon" with meat sauce, I wanted more sauce. Since I am single, I cannot eat that whole pot! I want to simply reduce the amount of Pasta to 1/2lb. I also want it more saucy. Dunno if I will have to reduce the amount of water, while leaving the sauce the same. I am gonna try the meatball in a few days. Thanks.- David

Love your vids Flo/Dude. Mouthwatering every time! Fond your channel on a ’crispy pork belly’ search and subbed for the asian dishes. I even bought a bottle of Shaoxing wine😊 However, please don’t let IKEA rebrand the classic Swedish style meatballs, that should be served with boiled potatoes, gravy, pickled cucumber an of cause lingonberry jam.

I JUST made IP spaghetti last night and it was delicious. I am one of those people who will make a big pot of something and eat the left-overs all week. LOL I do my spaghetti differently...I brown my store bought frozen meatballs, I love the taste and they're so easy, in my air fryer and while doing that I saute frozen mushrooms, diced peppers and onions in olive oil then I throw in the Italian seasoning, salt, garlic/onion powder..then I add about 1/4 cup of red wine vinegar, 2 cans of diced tomatoes then the browned meatballs. I then add the spaghetti noodles, top that with 1 1/2 jar of sauce, I had 1/2 jar in the fridge already and I added water to top it off, then about another 1 1/2 jar of water until all is almost submerged. High pressure for 7 minutes then qpr and a little mixxie mix et viola...it's done. I kind of followed a recipe, It's been a while since I made IP spaghetti, and it said 8 minutes and since I'm very low altitude, low desert in AZ food cooks much quicker for me so I did 7 minutes and it came out al dente...It came out perfect!

I notice that you fill the pressure over the 2/3 full mark. Is that ok? I’m afraid to do that. Thank you!
@FloLum3 жыл бұрын
You must consider the content of the pot. The pasta is loosely dispersed up to that point. I do not recommend filling the whole pot over the line with liquid and dense ingredients.

That was very ey-opening. I am one of those you intemated as liking long spagetti but they were still long enough to twizzel on the fork. The steam rehydrating was also interesting. Intersetin enough for me to give this a go. I have never eaten IKEA Meat balls. I have only once been into an IKEA and didn't buy anything because the payout queue was miles long (it may have been Christmas time). My Cat liked spagetti. She sucked the last bit up so it dissappeared with a wiggle. My kittens (earlier ones) also played on a non-carpeted floor and have wheel spin and power slides as they were chasing each other. Do not let your foot be seen out of the bed covers at night otherwise they will be attacked by furry monsters. :-). Many thanks. The food video was also interesting. :-)
