Flo, who as usual is a genius, is right. This really works. I’ve been doing it for years too. One would think the pasta would never cook properly this way, but it does. I know many people will cringe to see pasta cooked this way, and there is no more a traditionalist than I, but in the end what you get is a delicious meal. What more could one want?

Thanks for the recipe! Had my iPad perched on top of the rice cooker and so I can watch and follow your directions. I added extra three links of hot Italian sausage (casing removed) with the pound of regular Italian sausage. Also, I added about a cup of red wine with the liquids. It was delish and best of all it was simple to make. I remember playing pickup sticks!

My wife and I do not have a Instapot....yet. Seems like a future purchase after seeing your video and how easy and quick it is. Like you've said when cooking pasta it is so much more flavorful when cooking it in with all of the other ingredients instead of boiling it and the adding to whatever sauce you're using. I use a 12" or bigger frying pan to boil pasta. It cooks quicker, tastes better because I don't rinse it, I drain it and I save water. I have been cooking pasta like this for 10 years and it always comes out firm and delicious. Thank you for this dish.
