i have similar issue with the drive mode switches..or the auto focus (S/C/M) switching from brushing against the body or bag

Bingo! I forgot to mention that. In fact I will do a follow up video. Especially to put some salt on the fanboys so eager to turn religious on real issues! Vexed.

Yeah it happens to my XT5 once in a while. I still like the ergonomics better on the XT5 than the ZF.

Should there be a Sleep Mode that will take effect after certain minutes of inactivity? I am not a Fuji camera user so I don’t know. But my other cameras all have this feature so I have never experienced this “battery being drained out” issue.

Just enable automatic turn off after 1-2 minutes

That does nothing. If the switch can click on, nothing stops a half press on the shutter to wake up the camera. The real problem is always the real problem.

@@FramesTM I mean... I honestly struggle to imagine a situation when something flips the switch on, and then keeps regularly pressing the shutter button. Sounds more like a user problem

@Dimezis User problem inside my camera bag? Hahahahaha you made my day brother

@@FramesTM You get what I mean. There's no way this happens in a dedicated camera compartment on its own. Maybe you keep a lot of extra stuff on top of your camera, or your camera bag is weird, idk. I can believe a switch getting flipped, but not the shutter button consistently pressed on top of that. I don't even have a dedicated camera bag and it has never been an issue.

@Dimezis Ok. I respect what happens with you and it’s great that you’re reporting it. I am reporting my experience exactly the way it happens. And it happens with others too, for who your method won’t work. Can you respect that? Else I will ask you live my life and solve my problems. Deal?

I had to set the Q button on my X-T30 II to no function, or it would open a menu when walking around. Not a dealbreaker, but one of the reasons I sold the camera.

I'm like 30s in and I already know where this is going. On all my film cameras that type of switch is a lock, not an "on/off" button. Worse case scenario, you go to take a picture and you can't press down on the shutter. They either need to make the on/off more rigid, or find a better option - maybe go the GFX route and make a toggle on the left side of the viewfinder.

This happens to my x-t30ii. This past weekend the battery was completely drained because the switch got flipped in the bag.

Dunno, never happen to me. I own an XT5 and XT30ii. What he said never happened on my both cameras. Only sometimes when I try to screw on the 3rd party shutter button, I accidentally turn on my camera. And I have no idea they're on. The screen simply goes off. The battery doesn't drain and I turn on the boost mode right out of the box. And what he said about something touching the screen thus preventing it to sleep, they're non existent, they just never happen.

I've never had this happen with any of the five Fujifilm cameras I own, including the X-T5 and X100VI, and I use them a lot, carry one or two everywhere I go, and put them in all kinds of camera bags and regular back packs. Also, why are you dangling that poor camera by the screen?!! Are you going to complain that the screen hinges don't work correctly on all Fujifilm cameras in your next video?

Sorry I hurt your feelings. I dangled MY camera by hinge. Did I break a law or something. Man why are Fuji guys tend to be so butt hurt. Love it. Will do more Fuji videos. Great guys

@@FramesTM Insults already?!! I'm not a "Fuji guy" as I shoot cameras from several brands, and my feelings are perfectly fine, thank you. I just wanted to point out that a problem you're personally having with your camera is not a problem with Fujifilm cameras in general, and that your cavalier attitude towards your camera and the clear misuse you were demostrating on screen doesn't lend any credence to your claims.

Don’t read too much into what you saw on the screen. I just did it. If you follow this channel, which I do not recommend, you will see what crazy stuff m Xt5 will survive or maybe not. It has to go where I am willling to go to take the pictures that I can see with my eyes. So I will have to much more than dangling it by the hinge. Now, on my claims on the loose on off switch, I said I am talking about it after years of facing this problem. The Xe4 was ALWAYS on in my bag and had to take the batteries out. Whether anyone believes that or not changes nothing really isn’t it! It’s not religion. One can know a fact. Not believe or disbelieve it.

Does Fuji have something like Eco mode with soft power off, that will remove the necessity of turning the camera off? Been thinking about Fuji as a small travel camera for some time. Since the release of Nikon Zf, it is no longer the case because of the APS-C sensor. But it's me being biased towards full-frame. Otherwise, Fuji makes fantastic cameras.

My x-t3 does this. They must have a setting for newer models?!

Yes it does. But something or the other keeps touching the screen And keeps it active

As a potential solution you can disable the touchscreen, I’ve never found it useful and have had it off for most of the time using a Fuji camera. Also seeing as half pressing the shutter release resets the sleep mode counter having a shutter soft button attached might exacerbate the problem.
