if you were wondering about the animation style shifts, that's because the director has a "little black book" of quite a few of the best animators in the business from various studios and he pulled them in to the project, if you recognize their particular styles you can see which scenes they were in charge of animating. honestly the story surrounding the creation of the show is just as interesting as the actual show. it started out as a pretty badly drawn webcomic by "One" that struck a chord with a lot of people and it ended up getting a manga version of it drawn by Yusuke Murata.

Guys, both sub and dub are good, there's no need for a debate here it's only a preference and that's fine but it's only that.. a preference. Now having said that, I think you should watch the dubbed version for a few reasons. (for the record I prefer the subbed verison) -Considering you guys like to talk while watching it will be easier to follow and understand if it's in English for those who haven't seen it. -it will be also be a slightly new experience for those who HAVE seen it. -easier for us to follow, we don't have to keep looking back and forth between you guys and the show to see whats going on. You guys should watch this dub. Not because it's better or anything, but because its easier to react to when you have so many people. If someone talks over parts of it (uh,hmm Suraj), the others wont be able to 'watch' the anime and hear the conversation. Joshua Oberholtzer It’s in the way it’s said. Some jokes in English make perfect sense to us but when translated, it loses its meaning. One Punch Man’s humor is still verrrryyy Japanese. The dubs don’t do it justice.

Due to people like you pushing it so hard, I've watched both and hands down prefer the dub. Spoke comedy does not work well when read. Without knowing which words they are emphasizing and how, there's no way to even appreciate the voice actors. The weird obsession with subs is completely lost on me. It seems like little more than a weak attempt to seem like more of a 'real' fan than all us posers that watch dubs.

I've watched both and hands down prefer the sub. A few shows are better dubbed, but most generally don't get a good quality dub for various reasons. I get that some people just prefer their own language or to not read, but that says nothing about the actual quality of voice acting.
