in the Puri Puri Prisoner ova, that lizard vs Puri was a reference to Mumen Rider vs Deep Sea King, except the roles are switched. everything is the same, from the crowd of people cheering for the weaker one, all the way down to the script. lizard = Mumen Puri = Sea King

not a spoiler, just that they become more prominent in the manga (and webcomic) but flashy flash, handsomely masked sweet mask, and jack o lantern panic (sonic) are my favorite characters going forward. (obviously garou is an incredible character and webcomic fubuki and tatsumaki are definitely close to the top too. basically one punch man only gets better and better from this point on. (and the webcomic is worth it!)

Would be better if you react a similar anime like OPM with better story which is Mob Psycho 100 (2 Seasons- 12Ep each, Final Season will release this year). Or react on 'Dr. Stone' which has Comedy, Pure Science ofcourse, Adventure. It has also 2 Seasons- 12Ep each. Or Steins;Gate which is seriously a complicated anime as it's about Time Travel and would even need a diary to write all the events to connect the dots. Or Kaguya-sama love is war which is a rom-com anime and I hope you will enjoy it.

The manga shows the dark side of puri puri prisoner even more: Its the time before that OVA, around ep 8 of Season 1, when sonic arrives bound in this max security prison for the worst of the worst. He finds out puri puri is the boss there, and he is always on the look for good-looking criminals, and when he watches one on tv, he breaks out and adds him to his prison harem, where he stays. But those wrongdoers there are straight, and he punishes by french kissing and raping them them if they behave ill, and calls this punishment his form of justice, which is pretty messed up. To call this rapist hero is far-fetched. At least he trys to keep this side closed if he is outside, then he only flirts with the pretty boys.

He sure is a great hero though, and my theory is that he's also a half-monster type human who luckily is on the side of humanity and uses his monster side for the villains. Can't say it's fair for those criminals but i guess if anything he discourages people from ever doing crime which is good.
