From what I recall hearing, season 2 only had about half a year’s worth of production, which would explain the downgrade in quality besides the studio change (I still don’t think it’s anywhere near “bad”). But season 3 was ANNOUNCED about 6 months ago, meaning it’s already going to have been worked on longer than season 2 was. Quality-wise, it’s already shaping up to be better.

@@everynamealreadytake Nah, the first version of Saitama vs Orochi was kind of cool so it would have been a satisfying end for the 3rd season (somewhat), but the remade version was lame as hell and looks more like a joke than anything else. No way in hell they end a season with this. I still think it's very possible they'll do a 24 eps season. If they don't, I have no idea where they plan to stop. Maybe they could actually change the battle vs Orochi to include parts of the old version, idk.

Something that goes over lots of people's heads (mine included at first) is the fact that Centichoro, ONE of the monsters of the association, could not even be beaten with 3 S-class warriors, two of whom were around the 3rd rank of the S-class heroes. So imagine the amount of power the upper echelon of the Monster Association has. Thinking about it now, all I can see is the Hero Association being overwhelmed. :O Can't wait for the next season!

Ranks don't exactly mean strength regarding the S-class (though Bang really is strong lol, I think he could have possibly won if he gave everything). The number is just related to the hero activity. Also, the gap between S-rank heroes is really astronomical. Tatsumaki alone could probably beat all the other S-ranks combined except for Blast. But yeah, they're still overwhelmed because Centichoro and Goketsu weren't the strongest cadres (at least 1 is stronger, the others we can't really know), and there's Orochi. And there's the continuously improving Garou. Quite a mess.

@@xenotypos True, I guess somewhere in my mind/memory, I had made S-class rankings the exception in that they are ranked by strength. But I stand corrected. And yes, exactly, at this rate, I doubt Tatsumaki could fend off the Monster Association on her own even if she's somewhat broken. Going by the formula of the show, Saitama's gonna beat the big bad and the rest of the S-class are gonna have a death struggle with the lieutenants. I'm also comparing this to Boros' army where at least 3 S-ranked heroes mid-diffed Melzargard.

I don't think that fight indicated much, most of the time Melzargard was just regenerating after being beat up. Metal Bat isn't strong if the enemy doesn't beat him up, Puri puri prisoner isn't strong at all (for a s-rank) and Silver Fang wasn't going all out.

@@xenotypos You could say I had a tiny dip in the manga so I'm just going by a few pages I saw. But I'm always down for a twist. Actually, I did realise that Puri-Puri was the only one going all-out or close to it, so I'd say "mid-diffed" is an appropriate word to cover it. There was also Atomic Samurai, so a portion of their strength each could make up a full mid-tier S-rank's strength. Of course, one could say that's relative but until there's solid data suggesting otherwise, it's anyone's interpretation.

I wouldnt say that. Not really a spoiler since choro is dead...but Blast's mission at the time was to bring in Centichoro....not kill him. He most definitely could have killed him then and there without issue. But since we dont know why Centichoro was newded we will never know why he wasnt just killed or how he managed to escape in the first place.

There were a lot of wild theories about Blast and his mysterious extended absence before he finally showed up in the web comic and manga. People were theorizing that he was another version of Saitama from a different universe or maybe a future version of Saitama who came back in time and was hiding his identity for some reason. Yeah, no. While there are still _plenty_ of details left to be filled in, he's just another character with his own powers and his own story.

Overlord is an Isekai anime with OP character, and not only that but it's also a really unique anime. You're bound to enjoy it, but there are some mistranslation and much of the information is left out in the anime, so you will need some context for certain parts. The reason i love this show is that, in season 1 we know the monsters are strong. We just can’t actually fathom how strong they truly are. In this season it shows us that all the other S ranks r strong, but sometimes may lack when it comes to monsters. At the end, when Genos asked Saitama what he was lacking, and he answers , "Huh? Probably power." Is not as throwaway as it sounds. And the reason Genos was so thankful, was because his Master didn't say anything like, You lack heart, or dedication, or you need to focus and understand what it means to be a hero. By saying he needed power, Genos, probably, took that as Saitama saw him as a hero, and the only thing he needed to improve was his strength to fight better. Kind of like finding out you are worthy of holding Mjolnir. Even if that wasn't how Saitama meant it. Also, the look on King's face after Saitama kills Centichoro, is great. Not only the reaction to finding out he isn't dead, but witnessing just how strong Saitama REALLY is, was a massive shock. Wonder if that would change how he shit-talks him when playing games.

Definitely watch Mob Psycho 100, it’s fantastic! Easily as great if not better than One Punch Man ^^ Other shows…Why not try Welcome to Demon School Iruma-kun? It’s not super action-y, but there are action moments in it. It has a more comedy, slice of life, fantasy setting. I think you’d enjoy it if you wanted to react to a not as action-y series. For another Isekai, maybe Rising of the Shield Hero? For an anime movie, A Silent Voice That’s about all I can think of right now. If there’s any genre you’d like to see an anime of then I could recommend one 😊

You'll see Blast later in this Arc. The weird thing is even in the original work he's yet to appear. He's a very secretive character. I speculate he'll have something to do with whatever the final arc of the series is. It is definitely possible to turn into a monster without eating the cells. The cells are just an instant way to do it. All other monsters up to this point were humans who transformed or other creatures (like the seafolk) There is an idea of the source of all these monsters but it would be a bit of a spoiler to bring it up, even in speculation. Just know you haven't even seen anything close to peak epic in this series yet. I originally thought Boros may be it, but no, what's coming will blow it away. Sadly it will probably be 1-2 more seasons worth of content since this is a loooong arc.

nope he is not turning into a monster. Last episode we saw Garou bleeding from his head like a madness and when he broke the tree even more blood came out of his head. That out burst caused him to get a bloodshot eye and the blood from his head entered his eye aswell. Because the blood was so much and getting in the way he rubbed his hair causing the hair to soak up the blood and since his hair is white, after he soaked up the blood the hair turned read. He isn't a monster but is just bleeding all over the place.

So there is a theory which states that when Boros came to earth the person he was supposed to fight was not Saitama. The person he was supposed to fight who would give him his good fight might have been Garou or Blast. More sense on Blast but since his ware abouts are unknown and it took time to get there he likely missed Blast and Saitama arrived instead

This is one of my favourite Saitama's punch in the series so far. Seeing everyone struggle against Centichoro, the fact that Gyoro Gyoro claims that only about 4 s-ranks have enough fire power to kill Centi (although, I'm not entirely sure that's correct as it's based on limited information about the heros) and added to the fact that Blast, the number 1 hero was able to hurt it, but not kill it, in the past (where it was probably weaker) and then for Saitama to just 1 punch it... It really shows the difference in power between him and everyone else in the show so far. It actually makes me question how Earth was habitable before Saitama

It takes the cheesy friendship is magic motto that Fairy Tail had, but also the darkness that its later parts sported, showing that the author is only upping his craft, even if he recycles some themes and many character designs.

I dont read manga cuz i dont wanna get spoiled, but in my eyes, the show is about motivation, the better ur motivation, the stronger you become, suryiu wanted an easy life, he got strong enough for that. Saitama is a result of someone who dedicated themselves to be the ultimate hero, ultimate hero cant lose. Now were seeing garo on his path to becoming the ultimate monster. cant wait for season 3

You won't really be spoiled, as the manga is better drawn and the battle more dynamic than in the anime (at least, than season 2, season 1 was decent). Murata is probably the most impressive artist visually speaking right now, in terms of battles at least.
