Love the uniqueness in a villain who has human values and chooses to be a villain because he feels bad for the loosing side and thinks the system needs fairness. He doesn’t try to harm normal people, he doesn’t try to harm children. He has a soft heart and is a genuinely nice person. So nice in fact, he is willing to become the villain. I love it!

And the reason why he hates heroes so much is because theyre never judged for their bad actions, since they represent justice and justice is seen as always right. @@Akshit.vats. actually I’m pretty sure garou never killed anyone. The 100 kill count thing was just to make him seem like a big deal. Also none of the tank toppers died and were only put in the hospital (although Severely injured) as well as any other hero. I believe the only two times that might not be the case are the mountain of villains when he was first introduced and golden ball and spring mustache although, given his track record of not killing heroes those two are probably safe. I’m not saying he’s innocent but definitely redeemable if not already especially in the manga as he goes straight into the monster associations hideout to save the hero handbook kid Tareo I think.

Him becoming so deformed is for me signal that he broke his limiter. But in the end got smashed by Saitama.

And last, Garou wanted to become a monster through his sheer will alone, and he did. I love this concept, which is why opm is genius.

Ngl, this fucking ost has got everything. The grungy beginning, the techno intro, the metal slamming riff and the soft touch sentimental side all rolling into a very beautiful display of complexity and emotion. You can feel Garou's personality in this song, his power and ambition, his emotional turmoil of trying to prove Monsters are invaluable, and the chaotic instrumental crash of his absolute crazed and wild manner. can we talk about how incredibly resilient garou is? in the manga theres a panel where you can see his hands visibly shaking after he faces death gatling, stinger, wildhorn, smileman, megane, chain toad, blam-blam, shooter, and genos, and is about to face bang. And the next panel is him getting into stance and his his hands ready for battle. not to mention, he took on all of those heroes while already injured from his fight with watchdog man, AND he was at a disadvantage because he was trying to protect Tareo. He sees to be able to take insane amounts of damage and win against absolutely insane odds. that might just be what makes him so powerful. He's like metal bat, but even more resilient.

They can all go to hell!” For anyone who knows sociology this describes Durkheim’s Theory of Deviance and Morality very well. The majority decide what’s good and evil and this is subject to change given the pressure of time and deviant pressure to the norm. Meaning what’s considered just and good now could very well be considered evil in the long term. So for this to show up in an anime (One Punch Man no less) was awesome. Shows that even satire shows can be really deep if you’re educated enough to pick up on their subtle dialogues. Garou represents Deviance to the norm while the Hero Association represents the norm itself. He’s the catalyst for change that could change how the OPM universe views what’s good and evil, right and wrong. He’s the literal personification of this sociological theory.
